Nitro Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Thus ends the season. Tie breakers make it nearly impossible to get in on a wild card. Doubt they catch New England. Coaching and HUGE mistakes (fumbles) lead to a loss.
Boatdrinks Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 2 fumbles got them beat today Maybe, but better coaching at the end still wins this game . Why panick when you are in control? They had another first down available to them and wouldn't take it... Did anyone tell Hackett/Marrone that it wasn't goal to go? Andy Reid is a playoff caliber coach. Marrone clearly isn't
stevestojan Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 You don't go for it on 4th and an inch but go for it on 4th and 10 with all timeouts and this defense? Kick the Field goal and then all you needed was FG range. I hate this team.

Optometric Insight Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 (edited) They have all these creative plays when they're winning and then when they get into the red zone or are playing from behind, the coaching staff puckers up and panics. Edited November 9, 2014 by Teen Insight
kasper13 Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Started reading Bill Polian's book. He says the number one thing to look for in a coach is vision. Marrone is blind as a bat. Bills beat themselves today. Happens every year without fail. All comes down to coaching. In what universe do you have the ball at the opposing teams 5 yard line on 2nd and 2 and 3rd and 2 with 97 yards rushing in the quarter (6.46 yards per carry) and force two bad throw into the end zone? Who does that? Then you get the ball late down by 4 at the opposing 25, get a first down and then force 4. FOUR. 4 passes into the end zone? How can they keep their jobs? Why not take the FG, D holds and then all you need is a FG? That's worst case. This team will never go anywhere until they get a real NFL coach and staff. They will be lucky to finish 7-9.
xsoldier54 Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 This one is squarely on Bryce Brown. That fumble is what turned the game. If he just holds on it's a field goal and a 16-13 lead. What about McKelvin? His fumble led to the winning touchdown. Both of these two plays were the difference today.
BillsBytheBay Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Bad on Leo, but why couldn't anyone hold onto a ball. So many bad drops. This one hurt. Ready for next week We should have had 21 in the first QT.
OldNMBillsFan Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 (edited) I thought the coaching was adequate to win. Leave it to McKelvin to loose another game by fumbling. Edited November 9, 2014 by OldNMBillsFan
BillnutinHouston Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Kick the field goal, then play defense and kick another field goal. How is that not the best percentage play? What am I missing?
BillsBytheBay Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Leo was the last costly mistake witnessed. It was not the reason we lost. This board destroyed SJ13 for drops....... How did today look?....
Boatdrinks Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 I thought the coaching was adequate to win. Leave it to McKelvin to loose another game by fumbling. It wasnt... Negative plays happen.. You have to look to the next opportunity. KC punt returner makes a big mistake and Leodis redeems himself with a return to KC 25... You are down 4 and have four minutes... A good coaching staff takes that opportunity and puts it in the win column. Instead, our amateurs act like they are the team on the ropes. Hackett had another first down available to him before a goal to go situation would have ensued and decided not to take it. He called plays as if his QB was on fire. Simple, easy short throws we're all that was needed there. Coaches love when fans listen to their drivel about turnovers against a goof football team blah blah, because it takes the heat off their shoulders. The coaches had a chance to get the Bills to 6-3 and puked on their shoes. Kick the field goal, then play defense and kick another field goal. How is that not the best percentage play? What am I missing? No, I think you play for the 1st down, and if you fail n the goal to goal situation you might kick the FG. Hackett ignored that he could get a fresh set of downs
