Tyrod's Tailor Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 More detail here http://www.foxsports...lle-game-110614 Either way, sounds like the media will be getting to the bottom of this very shortly.
papazoid Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 I call bullchit. a bookie, showing proof he is a bookie, to welch on a bet ? the bookie would be dumber than Winston.

John from Riverside Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Well.....he might actually be there when we draft
Mike in Horseheads Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 winston is actually brilliant. Who else would think of stealing soda at BK in those little ketchup cups?! He's really good at the QB sneak (crab legs etc)

NoSaint Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 This is going to turn out to be either a complete hoax or the kind of story that sucks the oxygen out of everything. Don't really see a middle ground here. That said, if this is true this guy could go down as one of the stupidest people ever to set foot on a football field. yea - its either the standard issue "we dont like the guy so we are creating drama" that happens pretty often in big time CFB, or its the end of his career. there really isnt any other outcome. as its not just an NCAA violation but a criminal, there are lots of ways to prove it potentially
4merper4mer Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 I don't know much about Winston. I don't claim to know details of his alleged transgressions. What I do know about is how the world works. Whether he is guilty or innocent there is most definitely someone out to get him.

I know the FBI has a huge vice program that monitors the sports world but the is not an easy can to open.
Max997 Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Anyone else I would think this is a bull **** story. He really could be that dumb. That was my thought as well when I read this
Kelly the Dog Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 But are the feds going to take this serious enough to even look? I know the FBI has a huge vice program that monitors the sports world but the is not an easy can to open. It's not. But they will probably look into it. In the gambling world, point shaving is as bad as it gets.
Max997 Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 TMZ is seldom wrong as hard as that statement sounds. That is sadly correct

I know the FBI has a huge vice program that monitors the sports world but the is not an easy can to open. I think they will look because there is some sort of hit out on Winston. i don't claim to know why, but you simply cannot find defenders for him in the media or anywhere else. Signing autographs and stealing crab legs and he is Charles Manson? Meanwhile the Cowboy dude gets laughs and an underwear endorsement deal. Something is up.

I know the FBI has a huge vice program that monitors the sports world but the is not an easy can to open. a heisman QB shaving points will get enough media attention that they will have to poke around a little. especially if journalists come up with anything of note. that said, this could be no more than last years report of tahj boyd being $80k in debt and throwing games though. RJ (not THAT RJ) Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Jameis Winston may be a wonderful young man, a credit to his community. But he is clearly very good at hiding it. I hope that FSU's program goes down in flames. The sooner, the better.
Gugny Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 That is sadly correct TMZ is the most credible source of entertainment news. Off-field/court,etc. drama = entertainment news.
BELLABEANER Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Wouldnt shock me. Some people are just natural criminals(see Marshawn Lynch). Winston cant seem to help himself. Someone will take a chance. Hell fail miserably and be out of the league within three years and be in jail on a robbery conviction shortly thereafter.
filthymcnasty08 Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 @TMZ_Sports: Jameis Winston -- Allegations of Point Shaving ... Reportedly Tanked During Louisville Game http://t.co/IFOWnJbcJZ I think we all know this is going to end with Bellichik drafting him in the 4th round. Who else would know best how to truly judge a fellow cheater?
