BillsFan-4-Ever Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 while not a good stat, it encompasses all 8 games for this offense. The offense is different now than it was the first qtr of the season due to the QB change. you can say that for a few other teams as well. The Pats were done, Brady old and ready for retirement until they O got into the swing of things as they lost 2 of the first 4. the Colts lost their first 2 games. the Saints lost 3 of the first 4 the Packers lost 2 of the first 3 just saying
bananathumb Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Besides the Preston Brown revelations, these stats point to us having a really good young punter (not that punting is important )

Not W-L records in AFC and NFC in the 1st 2-4 games compared to where they are now.
jumbalaya Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 How many receivers have almost been annihilated because of a bad throw from Orton? 0....vs. a bad throw from EJ? after a while, they were afraid to even go after the ball.
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 (edited) Yolo, you also need to get in the redzone. as is was discussed - 6 turnovers V the Jets and how many even entered the redzone? IIRC 2 because the Bills got the ball on the 2 and 10 yard line... you had better score a TD on those 2. Don't you agree? the Bills managed 20 points but could have scored well over 30. There are plenty of areas for improvement. Letting the NYETS game lull you into a false confidence .... How many receivers have almost been annihilated because of a bad throw from Orton? 0....vs. a bad throw from EJ? after a while, they were afraid to even go after the ball. Sammy swatted down a bad throw that was behind him and was a sure INT maybe even for a pick 6 in case you forgot. Edited November 5, 2014 by BillsFan-4-Ever

However, including the first 4 games, red zone TD % is 46.67%, 29th in the league. In the last 3 games (that includes Pats*, Vikes, Jets, but not Lions, as they only provide last 3), it is 66.67% which would be tied for 6th in the NFL overall, and 5th in the NFL in the last 3 games.http://www.teamranki...one-scoring-pct Edited November 5, 2014 by YoloinOhio

How many those total drives got into or near the red zone? You need to get there first for the stats to matter!
YoloinOhio Posted November 5, 2014 Author Posted November 5, 2014 Scott Hanson @ScottHanson 5m5 minutes ago . @buffalobills Kyle Orton has a 4th Q passer rating of 132.5 -- best in NFL among qualifiers.
