Cheating is using the computer/game system to enter advantages for your side. It does not have anything to do with play calling or personnel. JMHO
gantrules Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 I'm still playing Madden online just because they've shut off the server for MVP 2004, I guess b/c the new one comes out in a month. The key to Madden online is to look at who you are playing against. If you go up against a .500 player chances are they aren't going to be glitching the crap out of you. Two problems with Madden 05 online that I've seen is the outside slant route from the slot. You can pretty much get a TD almost every time it's run. I've had many games end up in the high 70's because people were running the play and then I'd start running it. It would get boring. Also, shutting the fatigue off was probably the crappiest thing they could have done. It's just plain stupid. You can be the Ravens and run Jamal Lewis 50 times in a row without getting tired. Then you are basically forced to run a dime defense to guard the outside which becomes rediculous b/c then you are using a pass defense to shut down the running game. Not real. Anyways, just watch who you play. If you see people who are looking for "straight" games then play them. They won't glitch. 34-78-83 Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 They really did a piss poor job with Madden this year. It wasn't as bad (glitchers) last year. The main reason I stopped playing was after the first real glitch was discovered. When you are on offense would could motion your guys around and it would wear down your defense so the had zero energy. The offense could then do anything they wanted to you and you couldn't stop it because you are dog tired. EA's solution to this was to turn off the fatigue level so nowbody gets tired. This is even cheesier because now a guy like me, who pounds they ball on a D to wear them out, is useless. The D never gets tired. After that, I never played again. I only play Socom II online. 224815[/snapback] That glitch was fixed in a patch long ago....

But when it comes to blocked punts, Bunch Formation corner routes, Blitzes, blocked field goals, and anything else, I know how to defend them. If you get good enough you will see the cheat comming before they do it and be able to adjust. Once you learn how to defend the cheats, there are probably less than 40% of the players that actually are good without using cheats. I dont cheat, And I can stop cheaters. I can tell when they get frustrated because their cheats arent working. But then some just do the disconnect Glitch because they are cry babies. You have to learn all the defensive controls. All the Playmakers, cover audibles, Line Audibles, and everything else. Once you learn these, you can stop the cheats.

When Players run the corner route all the time, You have to playmaker Blitz the outside CB from the side you think he will run the Corner route to. Then, you have to man up with the safty on the WR you are Blitzing from. Its complicated. But with practice you will get it. They dont have time to run the corner because the Blitz from the outside is comming to fast. Its not a cheat, its just regular playmaker, the way the game was supposed to be played. With the Blitz up the middle. Alot of player use that on defense. You see the guy arranging his defense for it, normally he moves the DT alittle and then the LB alittle and somehow the LB comes right through the middle without being touched. Well, You make sure you have an audible to shotgun, 1TE, 1 RB(to the right of the QB), and 3 WR's. Hot route the RB to Block to the opposit side (the left), then snap the ball and step towards the right. The RB will block the LB, and your slot WR will be wide open because the moron thinks you cant get the ball off and doesnt cover him. For punt block, Just direct kick as low as you can go and to the right alittle or the left, and then kick it with half the power. They cant get the block before you kick, and most of the time the ball will bounce and roll atleast for a 40 yard punt or more. Extra points you just half power kick it and they cant block them. I really cant stop FG blocks because most of the time you need the full power. But if a guy uses these cheats, you should stop him and crush him, and a FG wont mean anything so he can block it if he wants. Hope these are some of the cheats you were refering to. Maybe they sound familiar. Most players use them, and it annoys me. But, if you learn the controls, you can stop them.

Which is why, I forgot, You have to be the Saftey to other side. This way, You know he can only throw the corner to the one side, and you can defend it. If you want to play a friendly game sometime, I can show you how.
