BuffaninATL Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 with tomorrow being the NFL tradeline and OL (specifically, OG) being our Achilles heel, who on the current roster (looking at you, M Williams) could you see Whaley trying to move? More importantly, are there any viable OG assets out there.? If Whaley sees this team as objectively as I think we do here on TSW, this team, as it is currently constructed, is not poised for a playoff run. I see strength and talent at all positions except OG. We cannot run the ball, our playcalling is suspect and does not conceal our weaknesses, and sacks are on the rise with an immobile Orton at QB (his only glaring weakness IMO) What say you?

A Dog Named Kelso Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 (edited) Lynch for Spiller? Anyone lol http://finance.yahoo.com/news/marshawn-lynch-doesnt-talk-pete-134700710.html Edited October 27, 2014 by A Dog Named Kelso
Jauronimo Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 For a brief moment, I saw this and thought, "What? Trade Mario???" That was my first thought too. Imagine my confusion when I looked into the matter more and saw that John Skelton is a free agent right now. We don't even have to trade for him. We can just sign him.
BuffaninATL Posted October 27, 2014 Author Posted October 27, 2014 For a brief moment, I saw this and thought, "What? Trade Mario???" sorry, my bad, I meant Mike Williams .....I forgot for a moment we have a few Williamses on this team
The Wiz Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 Lynch for Spiller? Anyone lol http://finance.yahoo...-134700710.html If it wasn't for the contract that Lynch has I would probably think about that trade.
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 Good luck trading Mike Williams. If there are any takers I'd be shocked.
26CornerBlitz Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 The Bills are not trading Mike Williams with Glass Goodwin being so fragile and often unavailable to take the field.
artmalibu Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 The bills need a starting Guard and I bet anyone is willing to give one up. If so Mike Williams and even one of DL depth guys would be a worthy trade.
thewildrabbit Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 #1 need OG. #1 trade chip WR mike Williams. For the life of me I can't understand this GM going forward with the current OG's, as both still stink even with Urbik in there. What happens if marginally better Urbik gets injured? Richardson again?
artmalibu Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 What happens if marginally better Urbik gets injured? Richardson again? Yes, and there is no one else on the roster with center experience to backup Wood. To make matters worse a bunch of guards and centers have been lost to injury so the out of football quality is poor also.
Charles Romes Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 What we do have is extra tackles. Pears is stop gap/serviceable at tackle and Hairston is serviceable plus. There has to be someone willing to trade a serviceable guard straight up for a stop gap tackle.

LeviF Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 (edited) @AroundTheNFL Bucs getting calls on VJax, Doug Martin, Mark Barron http://www.nfl.com/n...er_atl … Pats* reportedly interested in both VJax and Martin. Wouldn't be surprised to see Martin go there if the Pats* offer some real value. Edited October 28, 2014 by LeviF91
auburnbillsbacker Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 I wonder if the Bucs would trade Doug Martin, Vincent Jackson, and Logan Makins for a 2nd round pick. Two of three have been reported to be on the trade block and it looks like they are simply trying to dump salary. I'm not sure if we could absorb their salaries this year. We would be able to cut them at the end of the season with taking a cap hit if needed. I know it will never happen but I bet the Bucs would take it if it was offered.
TheBillsWillRiseAgain Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 With the depth we have on the defensive line I wouldn't mind seeing a trade of someone there for a serviceable offensive guard. Even our Dline backups are better than some teams' starters.
C.Biscuit97 Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 The NFL trade deadline is always disappointing. IT takes too long to get players to know your system, plus teams overvalue their players. That said, with the Bills on a bye, this would be the perfect opportunity to make a trade and give a new player time to learn the system.
TheBillsWillRiseAgain Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Call me crazy, but I'd honestly be willing to trade Hughes for a top 5 guard. i think Hughes is an absolute stud, but I think one of the league's premiere guards would benefit this team more than the drop off from Hughes to Byrant/Wynn/Charles would hurt them.
