If pittsburgh and baltimore lose today, and bills win today..wouldnt that mean bills win and their in next week seeing that san diego and kc play eachother?

No. Pit would need to beat CIN to knock CIN out.

We get in basically one of 2 ways (All starts with Bills winning out)

1) Pit wins out or,

2) Baltimore loses out.

Its pretty close to that simple.

Bills win out AND

1) KC beats PIT, BAL beats HOU, DEN beats CIN: Week 17: Need SD/KC tie. Other games irrelevant.

2) KC beats PIT, BAL beats HOU, CIN beats DEN: Week 17: Need SD/KC tie and CIN beat/tie PIT.

3) KC beats PIT, HOU beats BAL, DEN beats CIN: Week 17: Need BAL to lose/tie CLE or SD/KC tie.

4) KC beats PIT, HOU beats BAL, CIN beats DEN:

4A) Week 17 CLE beats BAL, CIN beats PIT, SD/KC irrelevant

4B) Week 17 CLE beats BAL, PIT beats CIN, SD/KC tie

4C) Week 17 BAL beats CLE, CIN beats PIT, SD/KC tie

4D) Week 17 BAL beats CLE, CIN/PIT tie, SD/KC tie

5) PIT beats KC, BAL beats HOU, CIN beats DEN: Bills eliminated.

6) PIT beats KC, BAL beats HOU, DEN beats CIN: Week 17 PIT beats CIN, KC beats or ties SD, BAL/CLE irrelevant.

7) PIT beats KC, HOU beats BAL, CIN beats DEN: Week 17 CLE beats/ties BAL, KC beats/ties SD, CIN/PIT irrelevant.

8) PIT beats KC, HOU beats BAL, DEN beats CIN:

8A) Week 17 CLE beats/ties BAL, KC beats/ties SD, CIN/PIT irrelevant.

8B) Week 17 BAL beats CLE, KC beats/ties SD, PIT beats CIN.

8C) Week 17 CLE beats/ties BAL, SD beats KC, PIT beats CIN.

8D) Week 17 CLE beats/ties BAL, SD ties KC, PIT ties CIN.

In some scenarios the "irrelevant" game does determine if the Bills are 5th or 6th seed.

There are no remaining scenarios I could find, even with ties, in which the Bills get in at 9-7. That's logical due to the number of 9 win teams already.

If the Bills finish 9-6-1 they can get in if Baltimore loses out and KC beats SD in Week 17. I am not going to enumerate all of those scenarios.

Baltimore is too proud to go away quietly. 16-7 and trying to come back strong. Big Ben throws a TD and get injured. Bruce Gradkowski is in.

If Baltimore loses today it means Cinci can win. Today is simple in what we need. Baltimore losing would open up a ton of options. Way more complicated but gives us more options

What if everybody ties?

The Bills will miss the playoffs if everyone else ties and they win out. They will also miss if they tie both games. There are crazy scenarios under which the Bills can get in at 9-6-1, although these will probably be closed by 4pm today.

8(b) seems most plausible.
