Fixxxer Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 No turnovers today and some beautiful passes, the ones to Sammy and the TD to Chandler especially.
youngjebrey Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Guy was cool and calm all day. Knew exactly what he was doing. He holds the ball sometimes for a little bit too long but you can tell he hates checking down and rather wait for daylight to open downfield than check down. He's the complete opposite of ej Manuel and that's not a bad thing at all. Im all in on the Kyle Orton train. He simply gets the job done. He's better than fitz was, and he's better than Manuel. What else could you ask for this season at 5-3?
Buffalo Beeeews Posted October 26, 2014 Author Posted October 26, 2014 Feeling excellent heading into the bye week with a big one coming up against KC at the Ralph. Feels good to at least be in the thick of the playoff picture midway. Jack Daniels for all, courtesy of one Kyle Freaking Orton!
swnybillsfan Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 i like the way he just sends some of these passes down the field on a rope. nice seeing our quarterback sling that ball with some confidence and authoritah!
bobobonators Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 This is all i have to say: Kyle Orton 10/17, 238 yards, 4 TDs, 142.9 QB rating. Its a shame billsfan4life wont show his face for a week now. Shouldnt be that way - we all root for the same team.

I agree! First time in years I have seen a Bills QB with some zing and some touch on passes. EJ had no touch on his passes, Fitz had no arm and Trent Edwards?? OMG could he throw past the first down marker?

Green Lightning Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Ha, the Jests are in EJ (Geno) Hell and we have a legit NFL QB at long last.

Kelly the Dog Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 He threw some just terrific passes today. Even the TD to Woods was a great pass when it looked like it was slightly behind him. But he threw it way before Woods looked and in a great place for Woods to catch it and no one to defend it.
swnybillsfan Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 replays showed a couple of those passes were thrown into some tight windows. the chandler td comes to mind. and i thought that the run fake on the lee smith td pass was truly beautiful. i kinda like this orton guy.

Kelly the Dog Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Another note on Orton. As fans, we go crazy when we see QBs like Orton hold the ball too long and get sacked when he has plenty of time to throw it away. And there were surely 3-4 times this game and 3-4 times last game when Orton did just that. But what we fans never throw into the equation is the plays that Orton and guys like him make when they hold the ball too long because they are fearless or that is just how he plays. It's like we always want him to make the perfect decision in a nanosecond. To me, I can live with the two sacks or so he takes each game when he had time to get rid of the ball if he makes the plays he makes without turning the ball over.

I was guilty of thinking that way today. Very good perspective Kelly.
Malazan Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 He had 10 completions. 10...and won.. The thing I like about Orton is he understands what he has to do. Not turn the ball over and let the Defense win the game.
