Astrobot Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 10 completions, 4 were TDs. Orton needed 14 attempts to get on this list: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/pass_td_perc_single_game.htm
BackInDaDay Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 They won good night! yes they did, and good night to you, too.. but let's hope Marrone isn't as satisfied with his offense as some fans are, otherwise we won't improve - and if we don't improve, we won't beat better teams
Sammy Watkins' Rib Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 This is a bad game to judge Hackett on. Clearly the game plan was to run the heck out of the ball since we had the lead from the very beginning. Remember, we threw the ball to get that lead and we did it well. Once we had the lead it was pretty much run, run and run some more. Yes we sucked at it, but we constantly had field position and the game was in our hand even after the Jets got 5 good minutes of play and managed to get "close" down 7.
FLbills Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 (edited) They were merely trying to chew through the clock. Yes the offense was predictable, but they still executed enough to win. I believe that it was in another post that this was stated in, but 20 points came off of turnovers, and 23 were the result of the offense producing. All in all this was a great team effort and everybody played great today. This is not the same Bills team that we've seen for the last 14 years, and the team is starting to come into its own. They're starting to get a little swagger about them, which to me displays confidence. They are a young team with a few veterans sprinkled in and they're learning how to win. I see good things on the horizon. Go Bills... Edited October 27, 2014 by FLbills
maryland-bills-fan Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 When your average field position for the whole game is roughly midfield, you ought to score more. It's crazy to have to say this when we put up by far our biggest total of the year. Yes it is. Think about it. Watkins was wide open on all four of his targets. Those were probably the only times he was open against the Jets secondary all day. Just a coincidence. The jests defensive line sets up to stop another run up the gut. The DB's lean in. Watins runs into open space. Gee, we had a pass play called and had no pressure on our QB. We only scored how many points? We only threw how many interceptions and lost how many fumbles with the 2nd string running backs and had how many mental mistakes on plays that lead to big losses. What a friggin failure!!!! We only won by.......?........................But we lost on style points, big time.
maryland-bills-fan Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 (edited) The jests are tied for 5th in the number of sacks this year (20) and are 4th in opponent yards lost by sacks. It is their highest rating for anything. Did running up the middle so much help out our struggling offensive line in preventing this from being a dominate factor in possibly losing the game? We had how many turnovers? Edited October 27, 2014 by maryland-bills-fan
