JM57 Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 Didn't Rex take the Jets to the AFC Championship with dirty Sanchez at QB? How the hell do you explain that without exceptional coaching? I see him winning a Superbowl one day. Exceptional defense. How the hell do you explain their recent mediocrity if he's such an elite coach?
jester43 Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 voted yes, because it can't be worse than we have now, and if Tim Graham gets his troll on at press conferences it could be funny.
bowery4 Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 Not ever, he is a bad coach! Poison and dumb as a foot. Took a pretty decent team that he inherited and ruined it in 2 years. I have no idea how guys can be good only on one side of the ball but he is only a good DC. I have no idea how he has lasted with the NY market, except most sensible fans there like the Giants. I would hate to hear him on TV too, so I do hope he gets a job in Oak., they are made for eachother.
Nick the Greek Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 The guy makes a funny joke to Sammy and now everyone wants him? I'll stick with Marrone, thank you. Especially after we smoke the Jets on Sunday.
buffaloboyinATL Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 Head coach, no. DC, yes. Rex will go back to being a DC for a year or two if he gets fired, or do a year as a broadcaster. The guy makes a funny joke to Sammy and now everyone wants him? I'll stick with Marrone, thank you. Especially after we smoke the Jets on Sunday. actually, as of right now, only 27 people said absolutely yes. I wouldn't classify that as everyone.
Hapless Bills Fan Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 I think Rex is a good coach that has had to deal with a severe lack of talent Yet there were years they opened the checkbook for him, FA wise and in terms of high draft picks. He hasn't always had to deal with severe lack of talent. He has had to deal with divisive egos and drama, and not sure he's always succeeded at that very well. I would take him as a DC in a heartbeat, but not as a HC.
Andrew Son Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 They opened the checkbook for the GM to make dumb moves, I don't put that on Rex. I've always liked the way his players play, very physical. If you put him in a good organization he will succeed.

They had the players on Defense that did it for them.
Malazan Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 Didn't Rex take the Jets to the AFC Championship with dirty Sanchez at QB? How the hell do you explain that without exceptional coaching? I see him winning a Superbowl one day. He already won a Superbowl.
PolishDave Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then Think Trent Dilfer. They had the players on Defense that did it for them. That blind squirrel found a nut 2 years in a row. If that guy can get a team that far on defense alone, then sign me up for some of that. I wonder how far he would take the Bills with their existing roster?
reddogblitz Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 I voted no for HC. But if Coach Marrone is fired or Schwartz leaves for greener pastures, I'm all in for Rex for DC.
Malazan Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 So.....for those you who voted yes...interested in changing your vote?
YoloinOhio Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 He'll say something cute in his post game and everyone will love him for it. The guy has been out coached two games in a row by Marrone.
