26CornerBlitz Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Twitter breaks down NFL fan bases across the country The people at Twitter Sports have put together a fun interactive map that shows where to find followers of every NFL team in the U.S., right down to the county. Find out where followers come from for every @NFL team with our new #NFL Twitter fan map. https://t.co/UOKAuiNINe
Heeaaayyy Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Interesting, Russ Brandon was on WGR this morning talking about regionalization and mentioned that the BIlls are the top team in Syracuse. This map has Onondaga county as Giants territory. Not that Twitter is the end all - just an observation.
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 So it appears from looking at the map that every teams fan base is near the center of location of the teams home city. Wow, I never would have imagined it had worked out that way. The mysteries these computer geeks can unravels today is amazing!!
DC Tom Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Another interesting thing: every team not in California has about 5-8% of its fan base in California. That shows how populous California is.
GG Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 A jets fan at work was bummed about this map. He said not a single county has Jets as No. 1. I guess he missed Cortland County
