26CornerBlitz Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Charley Casserly's rookies of the year through Week 7 (1:03) NFL Media's Charley Casserly reveals his offensive and defensive rookies of 2014 through Week 7.
Big C Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Obviously. Right now it looks like the race is between Sammy and Kelvin Benjamin.
Captain Hindsight Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 What Johnny Football hasn't won the award already? I thought he was the second coming
26CornerBlitz Posted October 22, 2014 Author Posted October 22, 2014 What Johnny Football hasn't won the award already? I thought he was the second coming Nah, he's just the newest Johnny Come Lately.
Johnny Hammersticks Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 I want Sammy to win, obviously. But Cowboys rookie OG Zack Martin has to be in this conversation. The kid has been an absolute beast, and has a chance to be an all-pro this year, IMO. I realize, however, that "skill position" players are the ones who win this award. Love to see Sammy getting this recognition. He is truly elite.

FireChan Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Nah, he's just the newest Johnny Come Lately. 34% completion Hoyer won't stand in his way forever.
26CornerBlitz Posted October 22, 2014 Author Posted October 22, 2014 34% completion Hoyer won't stand in his way forever. Can't wait to see what Johnny Flameout does when he gets his chance that will inevitably come. He's a real student of the game so I'm expecting him to rip the NFL up.

Augie Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Shows up first and is the last to leave.... at the strip club. But he takes long breaks in the rest room.... with rolled up dollar BILLS.
YoloinOhio Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 One bad game from hoyer and they are already screaming for JFF here. If they lose to the Raiders, it could get ugly.

bbb Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Remember when Casserly was the joke of the league for picking Mario over Reggie Bush and Vince Young. Yeah, that happened..

About half the ROW candidates have fairly ho-him games for talent positions .... like RBs with 72 yards total.

About half the ROW candidates have fairly ho-him games for talent positions .... like RBs with 72 yards total. Left Tackles do get some, not so much Right Tackles and Centers, and almost never Guards. If there's one thing this season has taught me, is that Guards are a lot more important than I used to think. Why they don't get more recognition is quite strange to me.
vincec Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 Remember when Casserly was the joke of the league for picking Mario over Reggie Bush and Vince Young. Yeah, that happened.. Mario was the consensus #1 that year. Who said he was a joke for that pick? Its a shame linemen dont get more recognition . league should go out of its way to help that along. Its not like there isn't room. About half the ROW candidates have fairly ho-him games for talent positions .... like RBs with 72 yards total. OGs are a dime a dozen. Just ask the Bills.
ganesh Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 Remember when Casserly was the joke of the league for picking Mario over Reggie Bush and Vince Young. Yeah, that happened.. Didn't Casserly also make the Redskin QB pick in the early 90's (The guy who is a Congressman in Tennessee now).
Augie Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 Didn't Casserly also make the Redskin QB pick in the early 90's (The guy who is a Congressman in Tennessee now). But doesn't a Washington GM have to pick good politicians?
