Gisele Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Did anyone see him completely whiff on that swing pass for a touchdown from about the seven yard line? Since we won it's pretty funny to watch, but it was a pathetic launch with his head down and eyes closed. He has been "tackling" without using his arms all season. Is his wrist still screwed up?
papazoid Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Gilmore is the biggest disappointment of this season.

Is his wrist still screwed up? it seemed like they were purposely running to his side that game and it would make sense since he hasn't been very good in the run game. As Donne Henderson mentioned he struggles with technique and that is probably what you witnessed with his tackling.
CountDorkula Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Gilmore is the biggest disappointment of this season. Yea that whole 1 pass completion against him yesterday. What a disappointment.
BillsFan3434 Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 This all being said - what kind of mind lapse do you need to go through to give somebody 30 yards on a 3rd and 18? The guy caught the ball for a gain of what? 19? and Gilmore was 10 yards away. On 3rd and 18....
Max997 Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Yea that whole 1 pass completion against him yesterday. What a disappointment. regardless if he got beat once or not there is no excuse for getting beat that badly on such a big play...3rd and 16 or whatever it was and he wasnt even in the picture I was critical of Gilmores tackling earlier in the season as he seemed to be trying to tackle everyone high especially the SD game...he then had a couple games where he was solid in run support actually hitting guys in the thigh make all the excuses for him you want but even his position coach is speaking out about him now

Is Gilmore supposed to just stop as if he knows the WR is running a comeback? If he does that, the WR runs right by him for a probable TD. But I get it, he is a 1st rd pick, and us Buffalo fans don't like 1st rd picks because they are not blue collar enough.

CountDorkula Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 come on, thats just weak...if its that easy then why dont all teams convert 3rd and long with plays like that more often? If only we had proof that other teams don't convert long plays like a 4th and 20 or something like that.....

HeHateMe Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Need a thread called Gilmore's cover skills.. Or lack thereof.
The Big Cat Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Turned to my buddies at the bar yesterday and said "Gilmore's doing a great job of cleaning up the running back when they're pushed to the outside." I mean, wait... Gilmore sucks.
thebandit27 Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Need a thread called Gilmore's cover skills.. Or lack thereof. 1 completion on 2 targets. At what point are we allowed to start questionin whether or not folks have the first clue what they're watching out there?
LB3 Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 1 completion on 2 targets. At what point are we allowed to start questionin whether or not folks have the first clue what they're watching out there? The reason teams don't target Gilmore that often is because he's too easy to beat and they don't want to be accused of having "embarrassing wins" because of it...obviously.
MDH Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 come on, thats just weak...if its that easy then why dont all teams convert 3rd and long with plays like that more often? What's weak is this board jumping on Gilmore no matter what he does. Everybody has a bad play. Everybody. But nobody lets Gilmore forget his, he is supposed to be perfect. He's actually played well these past three weeks but you'd never know it by reading this board.
CountDorkula Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 1 completion on 2 targets. At what point are we allowed to start questionin whether or not folks have the first clue what they're watching out there? I have since week 1....
JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 1 completion on 2 targets. At what point are we allowed to start questionin whether or not folks have the first clue what they're watching out there? Might as well start now.
metzelaars_lives Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 1 completion on 2 targets. At what point are we allowed to start questionin whether or not folks have the first clue what they're watching out there? You haven't started questioning this a long time ago? In the last week alone on here, you got folks saying that Robert Woods isn't physical enough (say what you want about the guy but he's extremely tough), that our defense actually sucks, that EJ Manuel still gives us a better chance to win than Kyle Orton and of course, the obligatory "if you see people catch passes on Gilmore then he sucks but if you don't notice him for an entire game he also sucks" argument.
MDH Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 1 completion on 2 targets. At what point are we allowed to start questionin whether or not folks have the first clue what they're watching out there? Watkins was targeted 3 times last week and caught two balls, one of them an important 20 yard reception that set up the last TD that put the Bills within striking distance. If this crowd was rooting for the Pats they'd rip Revis for allowing that reception, despite what he did the rest of the game.

Yup.... People don't realize the less you hear a Dbs name, the better he is doing his job. If they start drafting corners for tackling and run support, you may as well go for RBs who react well to fumbles.
