Nick in RaChaCha Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Can any one name a position where the Bills don't need to upgrade? WM needs a good back up Bledsoe - if he leaves we will need a back-up for JP WR - need a fast #3 (with good hands) TE - need an upgrade OL - Need a tackle, C, and a guard DL- Need a DE and a T to replace PW (he will be gone folks!) LB - Need to upgrade for possey CB and S we need to get younger and faster Kicker - need a PK who can hit a 48 yarder
Mark VI Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Did someone leave the door open ? I feel a drath !
Mark VI Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Humor aside, you need general depth every year, across the board. Don't forget March Free Agency. Many of those concerns can be solved with Vets. That's where a #3 WR, TE and OT can be solved. ( Marcus Price can be re-signed for Insurance). LG also . Safety - not a crying need at the moment. You have 2 Vets there now, Milloy and Vincent. Rashad Baker showed some ability. CB- Clements could be gone after 2005. TD always thinks a year ahead in the draft. Kicker- Obvious LB - Maybe promote from within . Vet QB ? - You betcha. Adios DB.

Kelsey in particular is improving -if we let Pat go, we have a whole to fill with FA, or let the backups fight for the start. -Posey is fine, since his cap hit makes it impractical to cut. -CB, we need an upgrade, eather FA, or 3rd rounder -Safety is fine. -Kicker!!!! MUST HAVE eather FA or 2nd rounder from ohio state. overall draft: 2a)OG <<<<(trade henry for pick) 2b)Kicker 3)CB 4)RB draft if we sign a kicker in FA 2a) OG 2b) CB 3) RB Free Agency QB OT why is everyone saying we wont resign clements???? why wouldnt we resign him???? hes way beter than winfield, and they know it.
a player to be named later Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 I'm sorry Nick but.... "DL- Need a DE and a T to replace MW (he will be gone folks!)" ??? Whos is MW and where is he going? "CB and S we need to get younger and faster" ??? If Nate Clements is your oldest corner, I think you are ok. LB - Need to upgrade for possey ??? #2 D in the league. Why mess with it? Maybe address with a late pick but dont unseat the poor guy. I'd say that the Bills need.......... 1. Kicker 2. Guard 3. Center 4. OLB 5. QB

ganesh Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Punter : We don't need a punter if that makes you feel better. The fact is we cannot have superstars in every position due to the cap.
TigerJ Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 I think Nick was either drunk or overly tired when he started this thread. I think he got Mike Williams, our right tackle and Pat Williams, our defensive tackle mixed up. This draft is interesting in that there areno accute needs for the Bills, no positions for which they don't have at least and adequate starter. However, as Nick correctly points out, there is a felt need to upgrade across the board, with the possible exception of punter.
