YoloinOhio Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 (edited) ...and kept him fresh. It was for this exact situation though I doubt they expected both RBs to get hurt in the same game. He will start next week. And having been on the shelf, he will be carrying the rock a lot. Edited October 19, 2014 by YoloinOhio
Kelly the Dog Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 That is terrific GM work, IMO. Te last two years CJ and Fred both got hurt, and the team got hurt by having to play Tashard Choice. This year Fred and CJ go down and we have Boobie and Bryce Brown and we are not screwed.
3rdand12 Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 actually i never whined. I like Boobie. Be interesting to see what Brown brings. Anyone notice the O line looked a bit better with Dixon ? I know it was hard to tell but Boobie is slow enough for the crease to open and then run downhill to the second level. I will laugh if this kid can hold his own . He has what Marone wants. A head down runner who can push the pile and drive the ball upfield a happy laugh though They say timing is everything.
HOUSE Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 (edited) This reminds me of a Pearl Harbor thread.... Don't blame the U.S. for stacking 7 battleships in Pearl Harbor, its best to save gas. Edited October 19, 2014 by HOUSE

You didn't, but many people did. Amazing that our GM does, in fact, have a clue and wasn't throwing away draft picks. This reminds me of a Pearl Harbor thread.... Don't blame the U.S. for stacking 7 battleships in Pearl Harbor, its best to save gas. Um, ok.
Numark3 Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 People complain when we don't have depth, people complain when we go out and get depth. It's bills fans, what do you expect
boyst Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Most reasonable people believed Spiller or Jackson to have been banged up by week 4; and both to have at least missed 1 game + significant playing time with that injury. I am surprised both backs got us this far.
WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 I don't think anyone looked at our injured RB situation last year and said "Man, it would be a bad idea to have a quality insurance policy at RB considering how much we run it" FJ has been shocking good so far, but this looks like exactly the doomsday scenario that we are prepped to deal with. I'm curious to see what Brown can do for you.

I've wanted a big power back since McGhee left, we finally get one, and he has the dumbest !@#$ing name in the NFL.
BuffaloBillsMagic1 Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Bryce and Sammmy will lead the way for us to get in playoffs!
Felonious Monk Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 People complain when we don't have depth, people complain when we go out and get depth. It's bills fans, what do you expect Exactly. Gameday threads have become unreadable. It must suck to be that miserable.
C.Biscuit97 Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Let's see him play first and see if he's worth it. If he sucks, then it's a bad trade. And if he plays well, genius move. He will be a big pickup in fantasy.
Mr. WEO Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Who was whining about this? ANyway, our running game can only get better I bet
boyst Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 So, all of these people that complained about Brown disappeared?
Fixxxer Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 The Bryce Brown trade was simple, CJ is a FA and Fred is getting old, a GM has to have more broad vision of the team going forward. People has cried for years about this team lacking roster depth, well, Brown is exactly that only that we have been lucky with injuries so far (knocking on wood). Would it be interesting to see him getting playing time? of course, CJ is having a bad year and Fred is a little banged up, maybe we could bench the penalty specialist, Lee Smith and give him the rock a couple of times against the Vikings. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/172184-bryce-brown-surprised-he-isnt-playing/page__st__100 and yes, I'm patting myself in the back. It seems I didn't do a good job knocking on wood.
YoloinOhio Posted October 19, 2014 Author Posted October 19, 2014 (edited) Who was whining about this? ANyway, our running game can only get better I bet Check the "Brown is surprised" thread. We traded away our 4th next year (actually might be 2016) for nothing, RBs can be had in any round, off the street, etc. etc. etc. Edited October 19, 2014 by YoloinOhio
Numark3 Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Who was whining about this? Were you here during the offseason?
3rdand12 Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Who was whining about this? ANyway, our running game can only get better I bet You are funnin' with me Mr. ? Robs house. I have always wished for a power running game. and since teams are stacked at DBs as a culture shift maybe now is our time. Boobie and Summers brought tears to my eyes
Webster Guy Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Check the "Brown is surprised" thread. We traded away our 4th next year (actually might be 2016) for nothing, RBs can be had in any round, off the street, etc. etc. etc. so before you see Bryce Brown run for our team you're certain that we would have picked a better player next year in the 4th round. Because.....you know our last two 4th rounders Duke Williams and Ron Brooks have been such game changers for us. Or Ko Simpson, now THERE's someone you don't get everyday.

I loved the trade. Others panned it, big time.
