IDBillzFan Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 I'll take a W any day of the week Especially a win that came on an 80-yard drive that included a long 4th down throw to a TE, a monster catch by a TE at the one, and a TD throw to your rookie receiver with one second left on the clock. Hell, if nothing else, enjoy the win just because it pisses off Tim Graham.
Fixxxer Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Wins like these are vintage Dick Jauron. We struggled the entire game against a bad team and this game should not have been as close as it was. We'll come crashing back down to reality next week when Rex Ryan's defense completely destroys this fisher price offense. Watkins and Jackson carried this team today on offense. ?
bobobonators Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 ? He totally watched the game. CJ and Jackson carried us to this win.
Augie Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 In about 3 weeks, we will have no memory of this game. From my experience, there are some people on their way home from the stadium who will be able to say that tomorrow, but that's another topic. Thank God for DVRs.
C.Biscuit97 Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 CB97 I'm with you (can't believe I just said that). This is supposed to be a playoff team and they're playing as if they're a 7-9 or 8-8 club. Given the December schedule (at NE, vs. GB, at DEN, to the left coast at OAK) I'm not sure that 5-3 is good enough. Not to mention some are assuming that they'll beat the Jets, Chiefs, et al. before then. They have a lot of issues to fix to be thinking playoffs. This is what people don't get and I'm sure you can feel them in. You and many others have accused me of being the biggest homer on the board. But I'm being realistic. Minnesota is one of the worst teams in the NFL. IT's playoffs or bust. This was a Jauron win that I used to take pride in. Not anymore. There is way more talent on this team and we're getting held back by coaching and qb play. We need much, much better.
flmike Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Yeah, I'm happy for a W, but the joy is a bit tainted with how lousy they looked all day. I give Boobie big props. When he was fresh, he was ripping off good runs up the middle. We need someone to spell him, who hopefully can block blitzers. Late in the game, the OL was just kicked around by the Minn blitzes. That needs to be fixed. Sadly it will take a new OL coach and OC... Two nailbiters in one weekend has me a bit jumpy. Go Noles and Bills!
IDBillzFan Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 (edited) scraping out a win against an inferior team is nothing to be excited about No one said you had to be excited. But embarrassed enough to start a thread about it after a thrilling last-second ending that actually came with a victory? Take a nap, son. Edited October 19, 2014 by LABillzFan
Augie Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 On our last kickoff I had to explain the Music City Miracle to my wife in response to he "has it ever happened" question. It gave me the willies. (And she watched it happen way back when, but she's blessed with the ability to forget such things.)
nucci Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 How about celebrating the clutch plays by Chandler and Hogan on that drive?
Jim in Anchorage Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 I mean I'm so conflicted. I love every Bills W. But that was a joke win. So was the Lions. And we're going to trick ourselves into thinking Orton is good, Hackett and Marrone are good coaches, and we're fine. This is a very talented team with bad coaches and a bad QB. Yet, we are 4-3. Again, we need a last second tounchdown to beat a George Edwards D that completely shut us down. Wow. Will you and Bills-fan-4-ever stop hating Orton? I know to you it's not a win unless it's a EJ win but you are really getting tiresome with this.
Bocephuz Posted October 19, 2014 Author Posted October 19, 2014 Amen brother... I wish posters would take the emotion out of their posts and look at things objectively. Way more negatives than positives today
Jerry Jabber Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Was the game sloppy…yes. Embarrassing…No!! I don't care how good a team is, there will be games where things don't go right and the team doesn't look sharp. IMO, today was one of those games for the Bills and they managed a game winning drive with less than 3 minutes to go. Will you and Bills-fan-4-ever stop hating Orton? I know to you it's not a win unless it's a EJ win but you are really getting tiresome with this. We went through this with Rob Johnson and Doug Flutie so it's nothing new.
Bangarang Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 ? He totally watched the game. CJ and Jackson carried us to this win. Jackson was having a positive impact on our offense before he was injured. Then it turned into the Watkins show.
26CornerBlitz Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 @buffalobills Kyle Orton on #Bills struggles: "You don't ever apologize for winning a game in this league"
Bronc24 Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Will you and Bills-fan-4-ever stop hating Orton? I know to you it's not a win unless it's a EJ win but you are really getting tiresome with this. +1 Thank you.
PromoTheRobot Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 @buffalobills Kyle Orton on #Bills struggles: "You don't ever apologize for winning a game in this league" The hell you don't. I want some contrition!
ganesh Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 @buffalobills Kyle Orton on #Bills struggles: "You don't ever apologize for winning a game in this league" And he is 100% right. It is hard to win in the NFL.
The Big Cat Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Can't have it both ways. Same negative Nancy's that are saying it was a ****ty win would have assailed a big win. We beat them. We did not lose to them, There are no style points in the win column. Did anyone here question the Pats* after they eeked out a win...at home...in primetime...against a division rival...on Thursday? Certainly not the same folks questioning the Bills now.
