WyoWind Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Testing the waters here to see what some folks think about that. He's done a great job as an QB coach and OC in San Diego. I'm sure he'll eventually be offered a HC position at some point. Maybe too soon for that to happen but I wonder. I believe Marrone will be gone after this year and we'll be in the hunt for yet another HC, possibly even a GM. Like I said, would like to hear what some of you folks think about this.

The only first time head coach candidate I am willing to entertain the idea of from the NFL ranks is Darrell Bevell.

Coach Tuesday Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 I get nervous about evaluating offensive coaches whose only experience involves inherited elite QBs. If Reich had developed Rivers I'd be interested. But it's hard to evaluate him as a coach when he inherited a guy like Rivers in his prime. I want a guy who has proven that he can develop young talent.
