Sojourner Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 seattle is nuts. Not a fit?! Fit him in! @AdamSchefter: Seahawks traded WR Percy Harvin to Jets, as @JayGlazer reported. Seattle felt Harvin was not a fit there. LOL@ "not a fit" / "fit him in!"
Dragonborn10 Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 If Harvin is worth a mid-round pick, maybe Spiller can net the Bills a middle of the road guard
NoSaint Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Another weapon for Geno since they don't have many. Seattle is likely shedding salary to get ready for Russell Wilson's mega-contract. also very true, with his 11m a year deal.
Mr. WEO Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 harvin is a big wild card behaviorally. lets not forget he chokeslammed a coach in college, and was banned from high school athletics. and allegedly had to be separated from a near fight with coaches in minnesota. it may just not make sense YET. Big deal!--look at Steve Smith's behavior his whole career.
YoloinOhio Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 If Harvin is worth a mid-round pick, maybe Spiller can net the Bills a middle of the road guard they gave up a 1st rounder just 2 yrs ago.
NoSaint Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Big deal!--look at Steve Smith's behavior his whole career. sometimes the coaches feel differently when they are the ones being attacked, instead of teammates. just saying!
Max997 Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 There has to be something else going on here. Otherwise this makes absolutely no sense. My thoughts exactly seattle is nuts. Not a fit?! Fit him in! @AdamSchefter: Seahawks traded WR Percy Harvin to Jets, as @JayGlazer reported. Seattle felt Harvin was not a fit there. Didn't Harvin pretty much win the super bowl on his own last year?
NoSaint Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 My thoughts exactly with all the big money in the secondary and coming up at qb what didnt make sense was trading so many picks for a guy with a contract that they couldnt afford more. im surprised he was moved right now, but he was likely a 2-3 year rental at best with an 11m a year deal.
Manther Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 No facts here but my buddy from Seattle said Harvin was a head case.
26CornerBlitz Posted October 17, 2014 Author Posted October 17, 2014 My thoughts exactly Didn't Harvin pretty much win the super bowl on his own last year? Not by himself, but he played a key role. Gave Denver fits on offense and ST.
Kelly the Dog Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Seahawk fans are going ballistic. Ha. He will make some plays I'm sure, but chances are his headcase issues will implode on the Jets.
26CornerBlitz Posted October 17, 2014 Author Posted October 17, 2014 No facts here but my buddy from Seattle said Harvin was a head case. Seattle knew that when they acquired him from Minnesota. Harvin has a well documented history.
Kelly the Dog Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 they gave up a 1st rounder just 2 yrs ago. First and third and seventh I think, and a boatload of money.
QCity Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Keep in mind Idzik use to work in Seattle with Schneider.
Sojourner Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Seahawk fans are going ballistic. Ha. He will make some plays I'm sure, but chances are his headcase issues will implode on the Jets. Indeed.
Mr. WEO Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 sometimes the coaches feel differently when they are the ones being attacked, instead of teammates. just saying! True, but I wonder what went on in Seattle?
K D Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 dang right before our game with them. why would seattle trade him?
C.Biscuit97 Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Harvin is so overrated. He rarely stays healthy and what has he actually done as a receiver? Seattle is fine without him. He didn't play pretty much until the SB. They also have to free up money for Wilson too.
YoloinOhio Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 No facts here but my buddy from Seattle said Harvin was a head case. perfect for the jets @RapSheet: Very quietly. But yes. RT @nflnetwork: "Seattle was in the market for trading Percy Harvin for several weeks." -@Rapsheet @JoeBanner13: This looks to me like an act of desperation by the Jets, as opposed to a step in a well thought out plan. Hard to understand this one. @AdamSchefter: RT @SportsTaxMan: During Seahawks reg-season career Percy Harvin had 23 catches, made $18.3M (@spotrac) -- that's $795,652 per reception. @SandoESPN: So now two teams have unloaded Harvin in his physical prime. That is telling.
