"sold out" means on TV but there are still some premium seats available which are NOT counted towards determining a sellout. sellout will continue to "officially" be announced Thursdays around 1 pm. Will be a long time before NFL removes blackout policy, if ever IMO. It would probably take strong threats by Congress to remove NFLs antitrust exemption to get it changed.
