Hmmm. I'm skeptical of "league sources."

And that "eyeing a trade" doesn't amount to:

"Doug, would you be interested in trading for Sam Bradford?"

"We're keeping all options open, at every position. We're always looking for ways to get better."

A 3rd rounder is fine.

A 2nd and I could maybe talk myself into it.

A 1st and it's idiotic.

One could argue the inverse of this anecdote would be appropriate for St. Louis

I would love it but don't think we are in position to outbid Cleveland.

Simply having more resources doesn't mean they will outbid us. It also likely comes with the issue that Bradford as an expensive 1 year contract likely has to agree to a new deal before anyone agrees to pay a ransom meaning he has some degree of veto power. If him, I'd prefer buff to Cleveland by a long shot.

I'm assuming the Bills would renegotiate his fat contract.

I'm not sure Bradford can throw better than EJ, or stay healthier. But we certainly need to enter preseason with some combo better than EJ & Tuel

I would be worried about who we would give up. Mainly because they would be available for more games than Bradford. Unless it's Goodwin then ok

Weren't the reports a few days ago that were coming out of St. Louis that Snead, Fisher and Kroenke were happy with Bradford (injuries aside)?

If it does happen I wouldn't mind as long as we aren't giving up another pick from this years draft.

Also all fair- but I think it'd be surprising if we weren't actively looking at this option, even if a long shot

Then a 2nd it is.

St. Louis is obviously ready to move on from him and he might be a cap casualty, giving up a 1st round pick for him drips of desperation.

You can thank me for all of this....I was recently sent an email by a bills ticket rep asking me of my interest in seasons....I replied get me Bradford or cutler and we would talk....hahaha!

I wouldn't get into a bidding war for a QB until all of the Bills FA's are addressed

Remind me how we afford that bidding war after taking care of everything else?

Might cost a player along with a pick

I don't think it's a bidding war.....we make an offer...they counter...if it's too much we move on

You're either joking, or you haven't ever watched a Rams game.

Doesn't throw better than EJ? Bradford has an elite arm and is worth whatever price at 27. We have $30+ M in cap room. Where are you going to spend that and not have 14M leftover for a QB?

Please don't throw out a laundry list of the top free agents expecting them all to come to Buffalo. We are more realistic than that I would hope.
