vincec Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 List of offensive players that regressed under Hacket/Marrone: Glenn, Urbik, Wood, Pears, Spiller, S Johnson, M Williams, F Jackson. List of offensive players who have improved under Hackett/Marrone: Chandler (barely). Not exactly a sign of good coaching.
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 (edited) didn't they try that [shake things up on offense] when they rotated FJ, CJ and Boobie every other down (to start the game) didn't they try that [shake things up on offense] when they rotated KO for EJ? peterpan Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Put Spiller out at WR. Then motion chandler out wide[r] to that same side, leaving Spiller in the slot. Then depending on how they the D lined up, we could throw a bubble screen to spiller with Chandler blocking a much smaller DB. OR we could throw a jump ball to Chandler and let him use his size against a smaller and shorter defender. Watkins could also be out there instead of spiller. We could also line M Williams up tight to the tackles, more like a TE would line up, and hope to get him a mismatch on a slower linebacker. Or we could steal the Rams exact plays from last nights 1st half and run all of those. Just some ideas for Hacket.

Exactly. Changing QBs is about as big of a "shake up" on the offensive side of the ball as there is.
badercubed Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 (edited) Only thing that really needs to change is play calling. Orton can make the throws he has to and occasionally makes a REALLY nice pass (the pass to Chandler down the right hash comes to mind) but without consistent play calling, we will be fighting every game.
