Clearly that was a surprise to me, but I still voted for having the #1 ranked run defense. After watching this team attempt to defend the run for the past 10 years I concluded the likelihood of 3 + 2 = 6 would still > the likelihood of the Bills leading the NFL in run defense.

#1 run D for sure, but doing that while outpacing last years sack total is a very shocking combo. AND with all that, the D somehow seems less effective. Loss of Byrd, Kiko? Pettine?

we have a better record this year than last year at this point, and have given up fewer points while playing what are IMO better QBs/offenses. Cutler, tannehill, rivers, fitz, stafford, Brady this yr vs. Brady, cam, Geno, flacco, Weeden, Dalton last yr. I'd say it's been more effective thus far.

 

But if we missed anyone yesterday it was AW. Good thing he will be back.

According to BB.com first since Metzlazaars in 1992, IIRC. I know he went to Carolina in 1995... So, it's been a while.

He's adequate, he's just not a game changer. He's huge, but lumbers rather than runs. His hands are great when they want to be but inconsistent overall. Chandler isn't a problem at all for the Bills, he's just not the answer at TE.

 

For me, it's the rushing TDs. This is a run first team with arguably the best stable of backs headed into the season and an O-Line that was supposed to maul people.

i had to go with the rb touchdown drought. it is incredible that a team coached by a former nfl o-lineman and former o-line coach, who has such a high opinion of the nfl run game, and seemingly a lot of talent on the roster at the position, is doing this.
