DDD Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 The one constant in all the losing has been Russ Brandon. While a great marketer and PR guy, he has no business making any type of "football" decision whatsoever. I don't think Marrone is bright enough to be a competent head coach in the NFL. Whaley was crowned GM by Buddy Nix who is an imbecile and set the franchise back years. Look no further than the ridiculous contract he gave Chris Kelsay, the drafting of CJ Spiller, the Marshawn Lynch trade, and drafting Manuel because of the size of his hands an his "presence." You cannot make this stuff up.

jester43 Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 As you both retreat to the privacy of your Gulfstream for the 2.5 hour jaunt back to Boca Raton, rest assured that you have emulated today, using your terms, the “Great Ralph Wilson” in more ways then you like: returning home after another sound a** kicking at the hands of the Patriots or “fill in the blank” using any team with a competent coaching staff and quarterback. At least Mr. Wilson, RIP, took his lumps from the S-Class version of the Patriots and not today’s rather pedestrian C-Class model, which was missing a host of starters and let’s not even think of comparing Brady’s current supporting cast to the likes of Hernandez, Randy Moss, Crystal Meth Head, etc. If I can digress a minute, can you please tell me why all the Wilson Family love? You made that family wealthier beyond their wildest dreams! He made a $25k investment on a pro football franchise based in the 11th largest MSA at the time, not exactly investing in Nigerian Commodity Futures, and you monetized this past week that trade into $1.4 billion! Believe me a more competent and well-heeled Bon Jovi Group or anybody other than that buffoon Trump and you would have received a handshake and parting best wishes from the Wilson Trustee; maybe a cheap cigar knowing Ralph! Let’s be honest, the Bills were and are one of the worst managed organizations in professional sports; the current 14 yr.+ playoff drought in today’s parity driven league is beyond statistical comprehension! If it was a business, using your parlance, it would have filed for Chapter 7 BK many moons ago, the product is simply that bad! Which brings me to the central theme of this post, fully understanding your need to be PC at the Thursday presser, but please address Jerry Sullivan’s pointed and direct question, paraphrasing, “are/when will you review the football operations of this organization?” Me and about any other Bills fan can save you consulting fees by recommending the firing of Russ Brandon, a quintessential Wilson “yes” man, or at least remove him from any input into Football Operations and flat out fire Doug Whalay, a guy that is in way over his head (see story about emailing porn during his Steeler days as the office gopher). Only in Wilson’s world can a joke like Brandon even get close to the Football Operations wheelhouse and Whalay is simply too ordinary to move the dial. The string of coaching hires, busted early round picks, over priced free agents, inability to sign draft winners, and basically BSing Bills Nation has gone on for too long and unlike politics you have a clear cut score board and record to point to in the case of these two criminals. To see them talk about EJ Manual last year as having the “it” thing, even when the FSU head coach said otherwise, and seeing these two maroons celebrate the extremely over priced Watkins trade this past May and then seeing results like today, the Charger Game, the Texans game and hopefully you start getting the picture! I am sure behind close doors these two poorly dressed individuals (their suits look like they came off the sales rack at Syms (didn’t that place close years ago?)) will blame Nix, Levy, Modrak or even Wilson, but the truth is they have been too close to “control central” at One Bills Drive for too long. But go ahead and do the due diligence thing and hire your consultant and you can buy me a drink later when he concludes in a similar fashion. Frankly, I would take an autographed picture from Kim instead; man all that money and a beautiful girl, things really aren’t fair! Best of Luck and a sincere thank you from the Pipe! oh right, like you never emailed porn.

Been searching this kind of blatant honesty outside of Sullivan for a while. Look, RJW did right by WNY keeping the team there, then providing the charitable fund for the region - really, in his passing, the region still made out. It's fantastic - as a former Buffalonian, well done. That said, I too was getting tired of seeing Brandon with his lips on Mary Wilson's a-s and an expecting him to similarly pucker up to Kim. He's one of these guys you see in business who is a survivor, not on merit, but on PR and PQ - no substance and not of courage. He never has, nor ever will hire someone who is dynamic or that might pose a threat to him. He's the reason why we have a lower tiered administration, which leads to 14 years of futility in the face of parity. Anyway, the Pegula era is exciting because, (keeps team in WNY of course), but I believe he understands what value he brings and sees nobody as a challenge to his families authority. Let Brandon sell t-shirts and let's find a football guy to bring some hard wear home. I am hoping the consulting period moves faster than the sale...tired of waiting.

None of that applies to him personally or in the business world. He's not the guy you think he is.

I hope not and am sure he is a good guy even. Thats just the look and feel I have been getting. I am sure he'll do an amazing job in the business aspect of the organization, but the football side I believe is foreign to him. We need seasoned football people.

Best of Luck and a sincere thank you from the Pipe! i initially read it all because i felt bad about all the criticism "the pipe" was receiving. i ended up liking it! how can you not respect a man (or woman) who ends his/her letter of advice to terry by basically saying s/he wants to get with kim. that's pretty sweet! also, it's pretty cool that s/he refers to him/herself as "the pipe." pass on, the pipe, pass on! Mr. WEO Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Allow me to right this over-tipped thread.... ....KimMILF? Thoughts?
bbb Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 I read the top and the bottom. And, I have gleaned that the Bills have some execs who are educated consumers.
BaaadThingsMan Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Terry and Kim are entertaining Gary Bettman in Buffalo today, securing the 2016 draft and continuing their one buffalo theme.

BackInDaDay Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 (edited) hey Pipe, have no fear - the past is the past - we're in good hands now.. Kim Pegula will be making decisions Tim Graham of the Buffalo News has reported that Kim Pegula was the driving force behind the Pegulas purchasing the Buffalo Bills in many ways. Graham also said she will be making executive decisions when it comes to the Bills. Kim graduated Houghton College in '91 with a Communications degree, and worked for Terry for two years before marrying him. Jeez.. you can't make this **** up.. is there a Reggie Dunlop in our future? or maybe a Wild Thing? Edited October 13, 2014 by BackInDaDay

26CornerBlitz Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 JW wrote about this weeks ago. Russ's days are numbered. Russ is staying as the President of the Bills' Business Operations. His involvement on the football side is where the change is coming with a clear delineation between the two. Both sides will report to Kim Pegula.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 My favorite part about this thread is the title. I think the use of ten ellipses was quite effective.
