I got a different impression as Terry stated his wife would be sitting in with him at owners meetings. Not sure how often that happens with other owners, I'm thinking not often, if never.

She's a part owner. She sits in on big meetings with the Sabres. She's his partner in many definitions of the word.

But it's impossible for me to believe the way he talks, and the way he often thinks before he talks, that she would be the one making the decisions like that when he say "I" and "my" so often. I think she is probably deeply involved in every major decision that he makes concerning the sports teams. He even referenced, or I thought he referenced, her being involved in big decisions in his East Resources business.

The ownership is for estate planning reasons. Marital property with right of survivorship passes to the spouse without estate tax penalty. Kim was a PR specialist, she is very comfortable in most situations and from friends that worked with her she is very, very bright. The Dragon Lady is one to reckon with.

I agree with all that. I'm just saying a lot of people in high positions, and highly intelligent, are not comfortable talking in front of live TV cameras, even if they are PR and marketing people. I know a lot of them.

Great press conference today! Thank you again to Terry & Kim Pegula for saving the team. I'm really looking forward to this Sunday and kicking off the Pegula era.

I am glad to hear the Pegula’s say they will plan for a new stadium. Today, the NHL announced that the NHL draft will be coming to Buffalo in 2016. I can imagine that once a new stadium is built, the Pegula’s will try to get the NFL draft, scouting combine, and Superbowl to come to Buffalo as well. For all the years we’ve complained about our sports owners being cheap, we’ve finally been rewarded with two people that truly care about our sports teams and us as fans.

After listening to Terry Pegula I gotta love him as the new owner of the Buffalo Bills, as he is so humbled by what Ralph Wilson accomplished in his 50+ year reign. Then at the same time I have to think the wife is the real driving force for his success. I dunno, maybe its just me.
