Miyagi-Do Karate Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Come on, fitz. Pretty disappointing.
dollars 2 donuts Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 (edited) Ah, I love him, but Fitzy gonna be Fitzy. Still a great game, and I wanted the texans to lose, but I wanted it to go down to the wire. Edited October 10, 2014 by dollars 2 donuts
KD in CA Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Sorry Fitzy, only Brady gets the tuck rule call.
Maury Ballstein Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Ah, I love him, but Fitzy gonna be Fitzy. yup vintage fitz 2 minute drill.
sodbuster Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 I love the guy, but during the TMW I could see it as though it had already happened.
PromoTheRobot Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 FYI Sabres lost 3-1. One down, 81 to go.
Augie Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 I think he did that to help us in a possible wild card hunt. He's still loyal to Buffalo! I could be wrong.... He's still Fitz. Of that I'm sure.
dollars 2 donuts Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 yup vintage fitz 2 minute drill. Yeah. You just don't contemplate running in that situ. You have 3 downs and need to stop the clock, Fitz.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 I just saw the fitz fumble highlight on espn. There was a texans WR (no. 10) who had a good chance to get the fumble, and he was afraid to go for it. Really shameful play.

Unbelievable, isn't it? He was in the best spot to get it, even over the two colts who ended up with it.

I think he thought it was a forward pass. Only explanation. It's still a dumb play, but less egregious than not caring. Although, he did slow down right before they jumped on it. I don't know. Prickly Pete Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 That's Fitz. In the last 7 or so minutes of a game he just erases any good impression he makes I the first 53. Some here are still pulling out stats, completion %, etc, but they can't seem to grasp that he sucks at the last lap. I sure am glad Hopkins isn't on my team.

Although, he did slow down right before they jumped on it. I don't know. Yeah, tough to say. I am sure he will be questioned about it. Seemed like he saw the fumble, approached it, and--to give him the benefit of the doubt-- maybe was just trying to size up how the ball was going to bounce? It looks like he chickened out.
JESSEFEFFER Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Both times that he pulled it down there was a leaping defender in the passing lane. That's Fitz. In the clutch it is 50% probable that he screws up. It seems like his team mates were 50% as well. Sort of guarantees that you finish with a with a sub par record. With Johnson's fumble in Colt territory at less than 4 minutes to play on a beautiful 2nd and 20 pass play, Texan's suffered both.

To be fair Johnson did more to lose the game with his stupid fumbles. But Fitz gets the goat horns because he's holding the bag at the end. The guy is just unlucky.

And it's not bad luck, it happens too often. He tightens up in the clutch.

If you quantified it with "probability of victory," AJ fumbling knocked them down more than Fitzy.
