8 questions posed at 1230PM that we can ask now:

1. Just how bad (is) was EJ Manuel was as the Bill's starting quarterback?

2. How good does Kyle Orton look as a Buffalo Bill...and another 30+ year old NFL starter?

3. How much better did the O Line look with a QB that didn't telegraphing his every move?

4. How smart do the Bills look for taking Sammy Watkins?

5. How good is the BUffalo defense.

6. Just how much impact can replacing one player on a team have?

7. How misleading are the Lions defensive billing and 3 wins?

8. How much trouble are the New England Patriots in?

That looked like a playoff team.

God that was a great win against a great team but let's not get too optimistic. The Bills offense still only managed one touchdown which only evened the score with the pick 6. We still had a lot of trouble moving the ball down the field and while out defense looked dominant and had a phenomenal game, the Lions were without their best player.

I would add in against the number one defense. Also Orton seemed to improve as the game wore on.

My main thought exactly. Orton shook off his rust and got better as game went on. Things are looking up.

Also, the run game did nothing to help out the passing game

He built up a tolerance in the offseason that even he underestimated. Downed a couple funnels at halftime to loosen up and got back on track!

I'm hoping it was a case of it took Orton the 1st half to get back into the flow of things. Hopefully he'll start out strong next week with another week under his belt too of practice with the 1st team. Plus one more week of experience for the two O-line rookies.

Very little about the Bills today looked like a playoff team. The obvious exception is the Defense, which was consistently good for the entire game.

Carpenter was great; Orton was "good enough". Sammy made some great plays.

Marcel Dareus was almost superhuman.

But let's not get carried away here. This was a huge win but this didn't look like a "playoff team" in any way.

That was one of Marrone's first comments in his post game presser.

doesn't much matter what they looked like. they just beat a pretty damn good team in their own house. style points don't count as much as Ws.

Detroit has been fielding a top 5 D this year. Playoff teams don't blow out other playoff teams, they win close ones.

And the Bills defense dominated without there best lineman Kyle Williams and there best line backer Nigel Bradham. What's your point. Bills defense is a force! Can you imagine if Kiko was playing instead of Rivers??
