Who WEO? Dr. Feelgood?

Seriously?

Seriously. If studies could show a benefit in returning to full health or speeding of healing, why wouldn't it be a positive thing? If it's worthless, then all will no it's not worth taking.

Any rehab specialist (MD) or orthopedic/Sports Medicine doc could administer it.

"Dr. Feelgood" refers to narcotic prescription, which is already widespread, but does nothing to promote health or healing--it usually does the opposite, allowing players to continue to play while damaged.

What's your real issue with this?

What's my issue? You don't see the slippery slope?

Player X gets injured and uses HGH to recover and comes back bigger, faster, and stronger than ever. This advantage causes him to beat out player Y for player Y's previously held spot. Player Y is well aware of Player X's use of HGH to recover from his injury and attributes Player X's use of said hormone to the loss of Player Y's job. Suddenly Player Y gets an "injury" that requires HGH to recover from.

Dude, the entire league will be on HGH in less than a year. How do you not see that?

Agreed mrags. I'm sure they are, and everything else.

ok. Didn't mean to get nippy there. Just saying. I'm sure there's probably a few that aren't on them regularly, but I'd be willing to bet 50% or more are on cycles.

And most of not all have been on at some point in the I careers.

So your concern is that players will intentionally get injured in order to be treated with HGH?

Nope, I did not see that.

JJ Watt.

I have to believe he has it in him. But he means too much $ to the league, no way they let him go down. I bet after testing begins, his performance drops significantly.

Exactly.

Have we not seen all the ex-players a couple years after they retire as announcers? It's like they all shrink!

please tell me it isn't mike Williams or Corey Graham!

I am fairly certain they're speaking about Gronk.

How longe do these guys got to get it out of their system? Or can they mask it?

off the top off head I don't know but in between cycles.

the whole testing thing is a ruse. Test everyone at least once a year randomly or don't test at all. the costs of the testing are minuscule. The union would never agree to testing everyone though. too many of the older players would get busted. my guess for first person getting busted: a backup somewhere.

Yes, we all know that if you mean "directly". What it does do, however, is speed up the recovery process which lets the user train harder to get bigger and stronger or heal more quickly. Personally, I expect older guys to be the main users. Those early aughts Pats* teams would have been a good bet back in the day, for example.

so

or they could just make it completely legal as long as it's monitored by team and league officials and doctors to keep it safe.

The days of steroids being bad for you ended when guys stopped sticking themselves with dirty and re used needles. When it was done in the alleyways and garages of dealers.

Steroids are so safe that doctors administer them for patients. Like cancer patients. For your body to recover.

We just need to regulate it better. Because there isn't a single competitive sports player that doesn't or hasn't used steroids in a long time.
