ChevyVanMiller Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 http://www.kavinokytheatre.com/ Went to the Kavinoky Theatre last night and saw the play Over the Tavern, It is set in 1959 Buffalo and it follows a Polish Catholic family. The youngest son is questioning Catholicism and clashes, hilariously, with the head nun at his school. The play was a laugh riot from start to finish and features a lot of local references, including a recurring subplot revolving around a take-out meal from Chef's that never seems to arrive. Due to overwhelming demand, the play has been extended through next week. The Kivinoky is a local gem - as plush as Shea's, but only 10 rows deep. Take your significant other, it's truly a night out that all Buffalo couples will enjoy together.
