boyst Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Erik Flowers! Holocek was bad? Holochek was bad but the best of a worse unit. I was trying to cover different points of the last decade. He would be good on the roster today because he'd be depth, a Rivers type. But he's not good.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Joe Panos' play makes Eric Pears look like Joe DeLamielleure. Joe panos wasn't that bad....especially if you compare him to mike Puccillo.
Tisker A Tasker Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Billy Joe Hobert dude didn't even open the playbook
Deranged Rhino Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Billy Joe Hobert dude didn't even open the playbook Could you blame him? He had a lot of drinking to do!
Best Player Available Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 This season only: A tie?Pears amd Chris Williams (when he can actually suit up)
ChevyVanMiller Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 BJH CBF Only Bills player cut for admitting that he didn't study the playbook at all during the week and cost the team a game. Winner, winner, chicken dinner.
DC Tom Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 My vote for fairly recent worst player is Colin Brown. Ugh. Colin Brown was so bad, he made Cody Glenn worse by proximity. No kidding - I watched the all-22 of one of his games, and Glenn was basically having to block two guys to cover Brown. And anyone who doesn't remember Bruce Mathison has no right to be starting this poll.
coseybedaman Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 There is sooooo many this is tough. Id have to say Aaron Maybin, TJ Graham, and Shawne Merriman are up there. I would like to add Mario, Stevie, and Fitz as all time "worst bills contracts". All decent players, but none of them have earned the contracts they received.

Not saying you're wrong, but just wondering, what would Mario Williams need to do to earn his contract. With the exception of his first season with Buffalo, when he struggled with injuries, he has been completely dominant. In fact, he has exceeded my expectations with his run defense. 20 million/year is a lot of money for any athlete, but just curious to hear your criteria.
Stranded in Boston Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 (edited) Holochek was bad but the best of a worse unit. I was trying to cover different points of the last decade. Are you maybe confusing him with someone else? Also "worse unit"? -- that '99 defense was one of the best Bills D ever, and Holocek was damn tough in the middle along with Sam Cowart and Sam Rogers in the outside. Wasn't it Holocek who strip sacked Dan Marino on MNF, and Gabe Northern (the only weak link at LB) ran it back for a TD? But Holocek's problem was his knees ... Holocek did have some bad blood with Thurman though. I remember Thurman calling him out during that nightmarish last season he played for Miami. Edited October 3, 2014 by Stranded in Boston
Augie Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Leinart wasn't a bill for more than a week doesn't count. There was a good reason for that! If short (REALLY short) tenures counted, Jordan Palmer would have to be in the mix.
GhostofGailey Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 LIneart was on the roster for about a week - hardly qualifies. Aaron Maybin Eric Flowers Mike Williams JP Losman James Hardy Derrick Dockary Langston Walker Robert Royal John McCargo Thad Lewis
Dragonborn10 Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Not the worst players but guys that weren't any good but played a lot... Ryan Denney Josh Reed Keith Ellison Coy Wire
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Is this really even a question? The answer is Billy Joe "didn't read the playbook" hobert.
Section242 Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Keith Ellison, Eddie Robinson gets a mention for being juked by Chad Pennington.
