You need to have so many posts before you're entitled to post in the Shoutbox.

how many :-)

I don't have a clue. It may be 20-50ish.

you could always PM a moderator or admin - if you'd like. I'm sure Beerball would be glad to help, she is very friendly.

Way back when, I came because TBD was one of the first, and best, Bills news aggregators. No matter where I lived I kept up with all the latest Bills news.

Eventually I became a member of TSW. Exchanging opinions with like-minded Bills fans was fun and educational. I made many online friendships as well as a few terrific real-life friendships. The community at one time really was a "community". Also, because I had a lot of sit around and wait time on my job, I spent way to much time here.

Over time, this sight, deservedly, blew up. It became hugely popular. And like most great things, becoming popular was a double edged sword. IMO, the community, as well as the intelligent conversation, suffered. The signal to noise ratio became more than I could tolerate. And, besides, there are plenty of places to get Bills info these days.

I'd still check in from time to time, but didn't have the same kind of fervor to get involved with the conversation. And, besides, I don't often have the sit around and wait time I once had.

But when the Bills sale started to get going, TSW once again, was the best place for information. Not only for the aggregated articles, which can be found elsewhere. But specifically for the insight of "in the know" posters, such as Kirby, Bandit, Kelly, etc. All of a sudden, for a short time, and in a few threads, the signal to noise ratio was VERY acceptable. This place was on fire!

I hope there continues to be enough reason to stay involved (at least in some small way) for the foreseeable future. But I have to admit, it gets harder all the time. Still posters like Yolo and 26CB provide a lot of information, and are generally terrific posters. So they keep me coming back.

I love this place. have been a Bills fan for 30 years...Over the past few years I have emailed several diff moderators trying to get my account corrected with my old email. I never heard back from any of them. So I just created anew acct.

I check in to take the temperature of Bills Nation from "inside the bubble" (TSW). As an ex-pat WNYer, it helps me sort out the fact from the fiction (aka reality vs.hysteria)

I have no idea why I keep coming here. It's like an addiction, or maybe a bodily function. Like pooping. I just have to, and it keeps happening every day, no matter what I do.

I truly hate to admit this. But sometimes I come here just for great trade ideas that I can bring up on other boards to make me look shrewd and smart that I never would have thought of myself.

I visit to just marvel at the range of pseudo-football knowledge dispensed and ingested on any given day by certain posters, and to enjoy the opinions of others.

***New Member*** I bounce between this board, the BBMB, and /r/buffalobills, but this one gets more play from me because there seems to be less squabbling (so far) and fewer pointless UPVOTE THREADS (I'm looking at you /r/buffalobills). Another huge plus, is that I can waste my day away at work, freely posting and replying, because this is the only one out of the three that I frequent that is both not blocked and compatible with the severely outdated work mandated Internet Explorer version we are running. Here's to the good times to come

in years past I spent hours reading the sight and communicating with many folks. It has gradually changed to a be only mildly informative and is now so over moderated and formatted it has lost its edginess. The edginess made this sight. Now, 2 or 3 minutes each day is enough. I now see people pretending to be something they are not. I see geeks ( not football geeks) creating words such as "presser". Because of over moderation topics are too long. It is forbidden to mention anything new without a moderator combining it with a topic of 27 pages ( see Jim Kelly), unless of course it is a survey. Mods now are thought police. It now feels like lawyers vet everything.

it is still a great site to organize activities about the Bills, I have met great friends here in past years but today actual new info is gone. I think all those who were real knowledgeable have left and it is now cut and past of twitter reports. Strange how a twitter report is considered gospel. The edginess was like sitting at the local bar talking Bills. Ah but now the lawyers know best.
