Prickly Pete Posted October 1, 2014 Author Posted October 1, 2014 Yea I think so as well. I have nightmares he showed up here only for the paycheck, strategically making sure he missed camp entirely and is going through the motions an cashin checks but in reality I think were going to be much better offensively with him this season. I also think its going to boost Woods' and Watkins play because they know the ball might actually be coming to them on time in the right spot. All that could go away though with two ints in the first half though. Go Bills Judging by these photos, he seems like a pretty loose guy, and someone that would be easy to socialize with. He probably was distancing himself a bit, so as not to interfere with the social order of the team.
I Am The Liquor Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 No drunk EJ pics? Tuel? EJ probably couldn't pass a drink from his hand to his mouth without over or under throwing it. LETS GO KO!! LETS GO BUFFALO!!!!
Johnny Hammersticks Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Is he biting that guy's dong in that picture?
Rob's House Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 I think Kyle Orton might be my favorite football player after reading this thread.
Ohiostyle Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Ugh... Those photos are something else. None of this is what I expected this season. As a tribe fan, this reminds me very much of the movie major league. Let's hope the end result resembles it as well.
Uncle Joe Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 (edited) Pictures must be fake. I don't see any Gronk photo bombs. Edited October 1, 2014 by Uncle Joe
Prickly Pete Posted October 1, 2014 Author Posted October 1, 2014 As funny as these pics look now, if he goes out there and sucks, we will all say "it's obvious that this guy is essentially a career backup, he doesn't take his job seriously...blahblahblah".
HalftimeAdjustment Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 He has looked like a fat jp Losman This is the best thread of the year, no doubt about it.
reddogblitz Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 (edited) Coach Marrone says he's ready. Edited October 1, 2014 by reddogblitz
Prickly Pete Posted October 1, 2014 Author Posted October 1, 2014 Coach Marrone says he's ready for whatever that's worth. I'm curious if it's strictly "EJM is so bad, we may as well throw Orton out there", or if Orton has been doing well at practices anyway, and has looked better than EJM all along.
jumbalaya Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 God made alcohol to keep the Irish from ruling the earth and to keep Kyle Orton out of the Super Bowl.
Orton's Arm Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 I know someone that is part of the media that goes to the practices and into the locker room when allowed. He said that from what hes seen in the parts of practices hes allowed to watch (which admittedly isnt much) it is very clear Orton is a better thrower of the football than Manuel. He said the ball is crisply thrown and much more accurate most of the time. That being said he always said that he is pretty disengaged from team camaraderie in the locker room. He doesnt talk to anyone, including the media and mainly keeps to himself as much as possible. From what I gathered I think were in better hands when it comes to talent but my worry is about chemistry. If he is not engaged in being a part of the team maybe he will struggle getting on the same page as the offense than if he had been actively trying to be a part of the team and ultimately win the starting job at some point. We will see on Sunday. I think he is a competitor and now that his number is called he will be ready to play as best as he can. Good post. My guess is that he'll become more socially engaged with his teammates now that he's the starter. Either way, I'm glad to hear he's been significantly more accurate than Manuel.
John from Riverside Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Him and JP Losman could be brothers

He has been shafted by every team and fan base he has played for why create relationships only to have them ruined. However, if he plays well he have the crowd and team behind him. Also, he may have been watching how much better he was than EJ and thinking "Here we go again, I am better than this guy and because he was a 'first round pick' they are playing him?!" How disheartening does that have to be?
TheFunPolice Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 (edited) My concern with these pics (and I am shocked nobody mentioned it yet) is the absolutely terrible decor in the background of some these "home" pics. However, on the plus side he likes the Doors, so that means he has some good musical taste! Here's what I know: if he throws for 300+ yards this week or against New England* he will be a folk hero around here, regardless of the outcomes (see Fitzpatrick, Ryan). TheFunPolice Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 The thing is... this team does not need miracles. A guy who could simply get the ball to Woods and Watkins when they are open by 10 yards and there is no pressure would have done wonders. We aren't asking for Manning type production.

If he beats the Lions the team has a shot at 6-2 right there he will be a hero to the fan base. Having reached the bye week with the total amount of wins from the last 3 seasons. If he breaks the playoff drought hold on to your horses, he may really have found his team.
