Big Turk Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Currently 3rd in the NFL in yards per game at 71.5, 2nd in the NFL in yards per rush at a ridiculous 2.9, and their longest run allowed this season is an NFL best 14 yards. Schwartz has done a much better job shoring up the run D than anyone could have hoped for...

Big C Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 The only bright spot yesterday. Bit of an overstatement. Watching Fred was yet again another great pleasure and our pass defense was pretty good outside of that TD Graham allowed. But yeah, love this new run D.

Bangarang Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Run defense and special teams have been such a delightful thing to watch.
GunnerBill Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Schwartz is a good co-ordinator. We got the best available option given the point that Pettine left I think. That is part of what has forced the EJ move.... this D is ready to win now..... we need to know is this offence ready to...... with EJ at the controls it looked like a no.
machine gun kelly Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Now we'll hopefully observe how good they can be.
Fadingpain Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Our Run D is quickly becoming the shining light on this team, this season, for sure.

Late in the game, Houston had a lead and just wanted to run out the clock. But they had to pass because they were going to go 3-and-out if they tried to run it successively. Our run D made the game winnable late in the 4th quarter. As bad as Hackett called plays, as bad as EJ was throwing, we still had a change to win the game until late in the 4th quarter because of the defense, particularly the run D.
3rdand12 Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Run defense and special teams have been such a delightful thing to watch. Please everyone make note of this compliment to Danny C and his special teams play.. Last week without Easily was a bit off , but still. 180 degrees from last year as far as ST. Run defense is a pleasure to view. And this week Bills recovered nicley from last weeks poor effort against the pass
