MarkAF43 Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 No way Orton is going to suck as bad as EJ. Orton is a proven NFL caliber QB. But again, give an answer. what happens if he does?
peterpan Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 The Bills finally admitted what the rest of the NFL, and most Bills fans, already knew before he was drafted.............. EJ sucks and was never any good!! So the team that trades up for a WR - because they are 'ready to make a run at the SB' benches their QB 4 games into the season.... I feel like the only competent person in our Front Office is Marone. This is obviously what all the bickering with Whaley was about. Marone b*tching about how ****ty a QB Whaley drafted and stuck him with. Woof
Maury Ballstein Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 now lets see what happens. More sacks. Less 4 yard runs after avoiding would be slackers.
Fan in Chicago Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Marrone must have read TBD. What if Orton lays an egg Sunday, then what's next? I raised the same question in a different thread. Hope we dont have a case of 'careful what you wish for'. We now have an advantage in the Lions game but Vikes and Jets will be interesting.
nucci Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 But again, give an answer. what happens if he does? You get a new QB next year
Canadian Bills Fan Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Glad they did it now when we still have a chance to push for the playoffs instead of waiting until we are already eliminated CBF
Dorkington Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Hopefully Orton can get it done. If he doesn't, then we need to get EJ back in there for as much development as possible leading into next year, to figure out what to do.
Like A Mofo Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 I am not shocked. I hope EJ can someday get it done. But the time is now.
Gugny Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 I have supported EJ because he was my team's QB. Now I will support Orton as long as he's my team's QB. That being said, I do hope EJ "gets it", cause I like the guy. Agreed, 100%.
Wayne Cubed Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Kind of speechless. Don't really expect Orton to do much or be a saviour, but that was a lot swifter than I thought.
Bangarang Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 EJ is now officially a bust. I'm now in full on college QB scouting and I want a QB next draft. Orton can start this year and next while our QB sits and develops some before taking over. Let's !@#$ing do this!
BuffaloBillsForever Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Marrone must have read TBD. What if Orton lays an egg Sunday, then what's next? Dysfunction. So it won't be any different than the last 14 years.
Realist Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Let me be the first to ask, why did he announce it already instead of making Detroit wonder who was starting?
SmokinES3 Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 My first reaction was pleasure and surprise. Now im just growing more disgusted by the minute thinking long term.
GG Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Shocked... That the announcement didn't include a knee injury to EJ.
May Day 10 Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Let me be the first to ask, why did he announce it already instead of making Detroit wonder who was starting? this day and age its pretty obvious with the starter vs backup snaps in practice
