Jim in Anchorage Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Bills fan 4 ever is going wear himself out posting "IN" on all these threads. Any way I'm pumped.
PromoTheRobot Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Marrone must have read TBD. What if Orton lays an egg Sunday, then what's next? TUEL TIME!!!
Mike B. in VA Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 You get a new QB next year That happens anyway. Orton is not a long term solution, even if he suddenly morphs into Rich Gannon.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 He cost them a victory yesterday, so I'm not surprised.
Dragonborn10 Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Season is over and 2015 is now lost. Glad everyone is so happy. It would only be better if these morons turned to Tuel next.
Big Gun Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 But again, give an answer. what happens if he does? It's going to be very very difficult to be as bad as EJ. If he is, who knows, right now who cares, EJ is THAT bad. It will not take a whole lot to be better than EJ so i'm really not too worried. I'm actually really excited, a QB who knows how to play QB is going to be playing for the Buffalo Bills this week.
plenzmd1 Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 It makes me wanna do this dance: Redskins fans were doing that dance until ablot 10PM last Monday
Fadingpain Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Guess everyone got what they wanted. So what happens next week or in the coming weeks when Orton sucks? LOL. We go back to doing what we have been doing for a decade and a half. What? Are you new around here or something?
JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted September 29, 2014 Author Posted September 29, 2014 Bills app? Yeah, whatever. It popped up on my phone.
John Cocktosten Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Props to whoever made this decision. I like what Whaley's done but this pick was an abomination from the very beginning. The best GMs move on quickly from their mistakes and that's good for Bills fans. We finally want to win!
BuffaloBillsForever Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 My first reaction was pleasure and surprise. Now im just growing more disgusted by the minute thinking long term. Will you be more disgusted if the browns have our top 10 pick next year?
FutureBillsGM Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Season is over and 2015 is now lost. Glad everyone is so happy. It would only be better if these morons turned to Tuel next. This....even is Orton somehow pulls out a few wins EJ wouldn't have, we not have an aging journeyman quarterback with around a .500 NFL record, no QB of the future, no first round pick. This sets us back for four years.
Dorkington Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 I'm not exactly cheering right now... Orton, imo, isn't as good as Fitzpatrick... but maybe he didn't have as good as teams as the Bills have currently, I dunno... hopefully he can move the chains, won't be asked to throw 40 times a game...
Mark Vader Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Alright, if this is what the Bills are going to do, fine. I like EJ, but I will support Orton if they want to go with him. However, Hackett is still the offensive coordinator, can we expect things to be that much different with Orton under center?
corey g Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Question to all, have you EVER seen Orton play? The alternative isn't always better, this guy lost his job to Tim Tebow, I'd rather have him, that isn't even sarcasm
Fan in Chicago Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Kind of speechless. Don't really expect Orton to do much or be a saviour, but that was a lot swifter than I thought. Likewise, I would have expected the bye week to be the pivotal moment but this came a lot sooner than expected. EJ regressed too fast for the coaches to sit around and do nothing. At least we will now know how bad our QB situation really is.
Gavin in Va Beach Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 I have supported EJ because he was my team's QB. Now I will support Orton as long as he's my team's QB. That being said, I do hope EJ "gets it", cause I like the guy. Agreed. It was the right move to make, but I hope it benefits EJ as well as the team. Giving him some time to regroup and hopefully find the fire he needs to succeed. In the meantime, let's hope we get a tan, rested, and ready Orton.
