Realist
Guess everyone got what they wanted. So what happens next week or in the coming weeks when Orton sucks?
JÂy RÛßeÒ
I have supported EJ because he was my team's QB. Now I will support Orton as long as he's my team's QB. That being said, I do hope EJ "gets it", cause I like the guy.
BillsVet
It makes me wanna do this dance: He can't dance but he can play QB. I'll bet Orton's downed more bottles of Jack though
Deranged Rhino
As much as I agree with the move, this is more or less putting a band aid over a bleeding artery. But it's a move that had to be made. Previous Bills' administrations would have hesitated or hemmed-and-hawed. This move is the right thing to do and sends the right message to the vets on Defense and the WRs.

jimmy10
This is what was supposed to happen in the first place with Kolb, until he lost that MMA match with the floor mat.
PastaJoe
Marrone must have read TBD. What if Orton lays an egg Sunday, then what's next?
Canadian Bills Fan
Amazing!!! Its like the coaches jobs are on the line or something! CBF
Big Turk
Marrone would have risked a mutiny...players likely had to be getting pissed they were losing games they had no business losing because their QB wasn't getting it done...
Deranged Rhino
He can't dance but he can play QB. I'll bet Orton's downed more bottles of Jack though Absolutely. Luck is single-handedly winning me multiple fantasy leagues. I have him with all my teams.
Bangarang
Pretty great news. EJ was a major problem. Props to Marrone for not messing around and sitting on his hands. We might actually make use of Watkins and Woods. Edited September 29, 2014 by Bangarang
Big Gun
Guess everyone got what they wanted. So what happens next week or in the coming weeks when Orton sucks? No way Orton is going to suck as bad as EJ. Orton is a proven NFL caliber QB.
BuffaloBaumer
It just sucks that we are happy that Kyle Orton is our starting QB. It had to be done but it's still just another pathetic layer to this 15 year old project...
mannc
I am surprised they pulled the plug this soon, but I think it is justified. I am not a professional evaluator of QBs, but I have to conclude that the Bills simply were not seeing sufficient signs of progress.
Tyrod's Tailor
Orton is better than any QB the Bills have had since Bledsoe. Will that be enough to make a run?
NCDAWG
Originally, he was supposed to sit behind Kolb. This should give him the opportunity to sit, watch and learn.

zow2
That's good news. Orton may or may not be the solution but we know EJ isn't the solution for now. Detroit with EJ was almost a guranteed 31-13 type of loss. He's a 3 and out machine...and not accurate. Nice guy but we need to see if Orton can throw the ball better. Realist
This is probably what should have been done with him from the beginning, the Kolb thing just screwed up everything and forced EJ in too soon. I still think he has potential, just have him sit the rest of the year behind Orton and learn from a distance.
negativo
Damn, I was hoping we'd give EJ another 30 games so we could really, really, really, really know that he sucks. Now we just really, really know he sucks. Kyle, welcome to the savior role...this week. **** the bed in Detroit and you're head is next on the chopping block.
