10th overall, 8th in points allowed, 3rd against the run (tied for 2nd in yards per attempt), tied for 4th in takeaways, and the longest rush they've given up on the season is 14 yards, which is best in the NFL. Lest anyone think about blaming the defense. Jim Schwartz has done a tremendous job.

This may very well be the best Bills defense I've ever seen. The yards per tells it all, because gross yards doesn't take into account how our sucky 3 and out offense has been keeping them on the field so long

Can you imagine how much better they would be with a competent offense to allievate some pressure? All the offense has to do is kick field goals, not turn the ball over, and convert 40% of their 3rd downs-- and then this becomes the No. 1 defense in the NFL.

Our defense plays good enough to win 10 games with an average offense.

I think we are a CB and Safety away from a top 5 defense.

I agree with the earlier poster. If we had an offense that could stay on the field, our defense would be ranked higher.
