for all who solely blame EJ fot this loss........ sorry, but, I pity you.

less than 16 starts and yesterday he had 1 pick 6.

Brady has had multiple 4 INT games... Was he EVER pulled?

Fitz had multiple 4 INT games... Was he EVER pulled?

Kelly has had multiple 4 INT games... Was he EVER pulled?

I'm not saying EJ is the answer @ QB in Buffalo. but if the team quits on him now, we'll never know for sure.

The thing is, those guys... they coupled those games with making plays happen for their team too. 21/44 for 225 is godawful.

Just my take. If NE loses it tells me the division is up for grabs and the Bills should give up on the EJ experiment and see if Orton can win and take advantage of the opportunity. Jets and Dolphins are trash and I think the wheels are falling off NE. The Time is ripe for the Bills to get the division. Cuddle and wet nurse EJ next year.

Might be right on the division although I more suspect it's about jobs on the line.

I strongly disagree about cuddling and wet nursing though. It's not gonna happen. They may protract the process, but EJM is done in buffalo forever. He'll never win back the confidence of his teammates. His only chance at salvaging his career will be elsewhere.

Love your plan except for the "cuddle and wet nurse EJ next year" part.

EJ is who is he is and will never be what we want him to be.

I'm ready to cut ties with him ASAP.

The only issue I have with this move is Orton isn't going to save this franchise.

We will win more games this year but we may have to start all over again at QB. I don't know about the rest of you but for me thats pretty deflating

I sat behind the Bills bench yesterday and routinely focused on Orton. He stood by himself most of the game, talking only very rarely to other teammates. Never met w/ EJ or the coaches to look at field pics, discuss opportunities or just provide encouragement. Talk about player 'body-language'! It just added to my queeziness. 'WTF is he doing here' I wondered.. Still, throw him into the fire! The season is slipping away'

Your observation on Orton bothered me a lot. Is it indifference or a "yeah, yeah I know been there done that" attitude? I go with the latter and hope to God he destroys the Lions.

I don't see KC winning, but you make a good point. I looked up Orton's stats, and one of the reasons his lifetime rating is 79.9 is due to being a back up for several years. The years he was the starter and on less talented teams in Chicago and Denver, he had some nice success.

These stats? The ones that show during Orton's 4 years where he played >10 games, he had completion percentage of 51.6%, 58.5% (3rd year), 62.1%, and 58.8%?

The ones where his QBR were 59.7, 79.6, 86.8, 87.5? Or the half-year he spent as the starter in Denver before being traded when it was 75.7, with 58.7% completion and 8 TD to 7 picks?

I think you are misinterpreting stats. I also find it ironic that with 3 years of similar stats as the starter, Fitzpatrick was run out of town on a rail as "not good enough for us", now we're "All Hail to Orton, the Savior". They're really very similar lifetime journeyman QB. Fitz has more mobility and can block and gain yards with his feet.

The one thing I'll give Orton is that historically, he throws far fewer picks, which may be a key difference.

But you need to not have a terrible one. You keep saying superstar as if there's nothing in between that and EJ. And at the same time arguing minutia about Dalton & Smith being better or worse than I think. Whatever. They are clearly both the prototype JAGS you're talking about when describing Orton; as good as the team around them. Which is worlds better than EJ.

I never said EJ was a superstar. The Bills invested big in him, to quit that after 15 games.....

EJ has had good games and bad. So does every other QB. I can site good to elite QB's with 4 INT games and I can site bad QB's with 4 INT games.

IMO a 15 game sample is inadequate for a proper analysis.
