Hazed and Amuzed
They were both marginal calls. I really don't think he was shooting for his knees...just lunging for sacks. I can't envision any scenario where the opposing team wouid want to try to knock EJ out of a game and then have to switch their gameplan for a veteran QB who might actually be able to hit wide open receivers 2/3 of the time. What's the point of hitting open receivers if they just drop the ball?
RyanC883
we need more attitude on this team. a lackluster QB who overthrows, gets his WR injured, can't hit them open, and always looks down does not help. Kelly had attitude and ability. We need that combo back again.
TakeYouToTasker
JJ Watt is a classy guy and he doesn't need to take EJs knees out to mentally destroy EJ. I reject that Watt was intentionally trying to hurt EJ. Had he actually hurt EJ though we'd have won the game. I'm starting to understand why you've been banned from other fan forums. Flutie Flakes
I agree that EJ missed several opportunities to make a play to an open receiver today, but please stop the comparisons to JK. Kelly had an o-line that could block and an o-coordinator that had vision and creativity, which is something that our present QB lacks. Back to the topic brought up by the OP, Watt appeared to me to be going for EJ's knees and I was hoping that at least one of our o-linemen would take exception to this and show a bit of a "nasty streak" in defense of their teammate. I can't stand Watt, yet if he played for the Bills, he would be my favorite player.
