26CornerBlitz Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Tom Brady, Cam Newton among Pro Bowlers to worry about: http://www.nfl.com/n...-to-worry-about Each NFL season brings its share of surprises and disappointments -- and sometimes, a Pro Bowl talent will tick off both boxes. Amid the annual storm of injuries and bum luck that greets each squad in the league, you'd think Pro Bowl players would be one element teams could count on. But even those coming off Pro Bowl campaigns can, for one reason or another, falter. The 2014 season is still young, but there are already indicators that some of the players who made last season's Pro Bowl will not be back for the next installment of the all-star game. As we approach the quarter mark of the season, I thought I'd list some Pro Bowlers, in no particular order, that I'm worried about -- guys who have failed to live up to expectations or fallen off the pace that marked them as top-tier players in 2013.
C.Biscuit97 Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Haha. I drafted both guys in fantasy. It's also just 3 games. That said, the Pats wrs are weaksauce. They should have tried to trade up for Sammy.

Captain Hindsight Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 i have Edelman in fantasy and he is pretty reliable. Amendola appears to be in Marcia's doghouse or something. Lafell sucks. I'm still amazed that those are the receivers the Pats* trot out each week. How can you waste a HOFers talent on Brandan Lafell?
jester43 Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 I know i am not supposed to say this, but to me that just proves how great Brady is. To have the year he had last year with the garbage they give him at that position (not to mention no gronk) is astonishing. Can you imagine what EJ would look like with those receivers? Maybe Brady's hitting the wall this year, I don't know, but holy crap he does not have much to work with.
Maddog69 Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 (edited) Switch NE receivers for ours and half this board would be saying they are awesome and EJ sucks. Amendola and Edelman have put up solid NFL #s in their careers. LaFell and Dobson were both fairly high picks. Its funny how every other QB in the league is awesome and if his stats don't back it up then it is someone else's fault. But EJ is the cause of all the Bills problems. (Ignoring the fact that he's led them to a 2-1 record and only lost to a team that also beat the Savior, Russell Wilson). Edited September 25, 2014 by Maddog69

Yes it's "funny" that a 3 time SuperBowl MVP gets more of a benefit of the doubt. Edited September 25, 2014 by FireChan

Edlemen in fill in rolls and limited with other offensive weapons and Amendola was never as great as people say. That's how the Pats got him. Stop making every thing about EJ. Not just you. Most everyone.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 25, 2014 Author Posted September 25, 2014 @MarcSesslerNFL Tom Brady has completed just 1 of 17 passes of 20+ yards through the air -- the worst percentage in the NFL.

Captain Checkdown! And I will always give Brady the benefit of the doubt because he is one of the greatest QBs ever. I think his wrs are junk. But could he actually be slowing down?

QB Index: Brady under attack Tom Brady is struggling to throw the ball deep, but his biggest problem is the poor play of the Patriots' offensive line each week. Which other quarterbacks are struggling? Which are on the rise?
26CornerBlitz Posted September 25, 2014 Author Posted September 25, 2014 @ChrisTrapasso More evidence of OL importance: Per @PFF, Tom Brady's being pressured on 37% of his drop backs. 32% in 2013, 25% in 2012 and 26% in 2011.
Tyrod's Tailor Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 How can you waste a HOFers talent on Brandan Lafell? How can we waste Watkins' talent on.....never mind
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 @ChrisTrapasso More evidence of OL importance: Per @PFF, Tom Brady's being pressured on 37% of his drop backs. 32% in 2013, 25% in 2012 and 26% in 2011. All those great years in bills history were punctuated by perennial Probowl linemen and I don't necessarily think it was the wins causing the recognition as much as the talent causing the wins. Since the wr set in New England frankly has never been astonishing and last year was nearly what it is now, I think Tommys struggles are a clear case study of what o line play means to pocket passers.
