The Wiz Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Fitz is looking more and more like Yukon Cornelius every time I see him.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 25, 2014 Author Posted September 25, 2014 No reason to give up on Fitzpatrick already It's amazing how so many wanted to bench Ryan Fitzpatrick after he played one bad half against the New York Giants.Did they even watch the 30-17 defeat? Fitzpatrick had helped the Texans start 2-0 with 11- and 16-point victories over Washington and Oakland, and nobody complained when he was ranked second to Peyton Manning with a 118.2 rating and had yet to commit a turnover. But they were howling to bench him after a bad first half – not a bad game as so many claimed – for Ryan Mallett. That's preposterous! By John McClain @McClain_on_NFL
26CornerBlitz Posted September 25, 2014 Author Posted September 25, 2014 @MatthewFairburn C.J. Spiller added to the injury report with a chest injury. Full participant today. Cordy Glenn: the biggest man you'll never notice While NFL defensive ends are well aware, the average viewer of a Bills game rarely notices Cordy Glenn. And that's just the way it should be. @buffalobills #Bills coach Doug Marrone: G Chris Williams (back) another DNP today. Cyril Richardson, Kraig Urbik filling in. @ChrisBrownBills Spiller added to injury report w/chest injury but full participant. Goodwin injury changed to head going thru concussion protocol. #Bills
Andrew Son Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 "Goodwin injury changed to head going thru concussion protocol. #Bills " Better known as "catching a slant from EJ."
billykaykay Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 The hope is Cyril Richardson can help in the run game. The Texans gave up 193 rushing yards to the Giants last week: http://blog.chron.co...-is/#26930101=0 I know that JJ Watt is a great pass rusher. How is he against the run ?
26CornerBlitz Posted September 25, 2014 Author Posted September 25, 2014 I know that JJ Watt is a great pass rusher. How is he against the run ? Excellent.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 25, 2014 Author Posted September 25, 2014 good test for our RT. Watt is actually the RDE and he'll line up against Glenn. The Texans move him around quite a bit, so he'll be matched against other lineman as well. Dareus gets sack in scoring change
CountDorkula Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 From one of the Texans beat reporters: Mario Williams how he thinks he'll be received in Houston (where he played for 6 years): "I don't care." Alright then. #Bills Hopefully he comes out on fire.

BigBuff423 Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 (edited) Last week's loss might have actually been a good thing. IMO, the team, particularly the Defense appeared flat, in effort and in zeal...I think coming off the emotional high of the prior Sunday at home against a Divisional opponent left a lump in their mid-section and made them lethargic to some degree...Chargers are not a Divisional opponent and it came AFTER two good wins, and BEFORE two road games, one them tough in Detroit....this game, to me, will be the litmus test of where the team's mentality truly is...EJ was bad last game, will he take the all-important stride as leader and a bona fide NFL QB and come out making throws that NFL QBs need to make? Will the Defense get its heart and passion back and play with a sense of urgency? Will the Offensive Line once again play to their size? And, will the Pre Season awareness and football intelligence show up to stem the tide of penalties the team took last week in what will be an uproarious stadium who are foaming to see their Texans team avoid falling off the edge?? These things to me, will be a good indication of where this BILLS team is mentally speaking...because except for EJ's questionable abilities as a QB, the rest of this team is playoff ready in talent and capability to play with any team, except maybe the Seahawks, but otherwise, I think that's true...JMO Edited September 25, 2014 by BigBuff423

Good size, good quickness. #Texans @DoughertyDrew O'Brien: Spiller and Jackson are both dynamic RB. Spiller's also 1 of best KOR men in NFL. @HoustonTexans O'Brien says Buffalo is one of the fastest teams in the league. "There are no slow teams, though." #Texans "I wouldn't say that we would have that decided by tonight." O'Brien on whether P Shane Lechler & RB Arian Foster are able to play Sunday. The Wiz Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 (edited) Spoiler: Bills not on this list! @nfl: The season is young, but.. 9 teams with glaring weaknesses entering Week 4 (via @AdamSchein): http://t.co/d18AYPjVkJ http://t.co/oIXRGxo57h I find the Pat's Scrimmage plays, Yards per play and points per game very telling about their offense. It looks like they are having trouble with their line, as the article suggests, and they are going in a "fitz" mode (short, quick passes to keep the ball moving). Red zone is probably the only thing that might make the game against them a tough game. They have 301 yards on 210 plays and we have 330 yards on 180 plays. Things like spiller or jackson breaking one for 40+ help pad the stats for sure but they are showing a decline for sure. But back to the Texans, they seem to be able to move the ball decently but Foster's injury may play a big part in the game (even if he plays). Edited September 25, 2014 by The Wiz

The wide receiver suffered the head injury during Wednesday's practice, and will need to go through a workout and then be cleared by doctors in order to play on Sunday.
