The Big Cat Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 I have not seen the highlights, nor read the recaps nor listened to the analyses, but I'm shocked that Miami got beat up so bad by KC. Does that compromise the hope we had coming away from the win? Likewise, and we'll see what happens tonight, but the Bears win over SF made us look legit. Then SF goes and ***** the bed against (an admittedly staunch division opponent, who nonetheless started Drew !@#$ing Stanton) Arizona. This happens every year at the beginning of the NFL season, I guess now I'm discouraged by yesterday's loss COMBINED with other losses around the league which leave us right back to "we still don't know where we are." And I don't believe a win Sunday will change that.
Dean Cain Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Didn't Zona beat SD who then beat Seattle? It's too early to tell due to injuries & how teams improve but I'm happy with where we are at. New England looks beatable. Miami we've stomped. And the Jets look tough at running & stopping the run. IMO the Jets have looked the best.

26CornerBlitz Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Best news of the day......Miami lost at home to KC.

Captain Hindsight Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 When does this parity come to Buffalo? Next year Also Miami stinks. They are a medicare team with few great players. Just good enough to pull a few out but bad enough to get stomped a few times a year
jumbalaya Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 What we are witnessing is that the AFC East is really bad this year including the Pats. The refs let them beat Oakland. Losing at home to a rookie QB would have ended their season.

BuffOrange Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Next year Also Miami stinks. They are a medicare team with few great players. Just good enough to pull a few out but bad enough to get stomped a few times a year Ya I think they might be the most boring, "average across the board" team in the league. Not sure what people saw in them in the preseason other than "the OL can't be worse". What we are witnessing is that the AFC East is really bad this year including the Pats. The refs let them beat Oakland. Losing at home to a rookie QB would have ended their season. They look pretty pedestrian so far but they did last September too. And in '06 and in '09 vs bad Bills teams... It's annoying that except for that Arizona game a couple yrs ago, they never actually lose that "catastrophic" game as huge favorites.
The Big Cat Posted September 22, 2014 Author Posted September 22, 2014 (edited) @nfl: Dolphins uncertain about starting Ryan Tannehill in Week 4 (via @AroundTheNFL): http://t.co/igIYH3eenY http://t.co/MCcpYgPt7Q Dating back to last year, his last five starts have netted 910 yds 5 TDs 5INT and a completion pct. of 52. That's 1821/1/gm He's had zero rushing TD's over that span, getting only 37 yards on the ground since week 16 of last year. Barbarian, care to way in? Edited September 22, 2014 by The Big Cat
boyst Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Dang it cat. This is too confusing. Sf beat someone who beat someone else who beat Baltimore who beat ray rice who beat... Wait All i want to know is are we doomed?
BuffaloBillsForever Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 (edited) Miami is going to be mediocre to bad team by the end of the year, I will be surprised if Chicago makes the playoffs and the Chargers are BY FAR the best team the Bills played to date. Casual football fans and the media are going to have Phillip Rivers as the flavor of the year by week 8 in which they will be about a year too late in their assessment. I think you mean like seven years too late. He was an elite player for a lot of years before an inexplicable 2011-12 valley. I mean it got to the point where a lot of non-casual/smart people just assumed he was playing hurt, which he vehemently denied. Someone called me a lot of bad names for arguing on his behalf during that valley. Crickets now obviously. I wish archives were easier to find here.
