YoloinOhio Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 When he could have had a catch. @BuffRumblings: Sammy Watkins admittedly took a play off late in the 4thQ yesterday where he should have had a catch. Concerned? http://t.co/QtV9W5TEO9
Best Player Available Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 i don't know parts of the O-line took the whole game off, among other positions so I don't see the big woof?
RuntheDamnBall Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 When he could have had a catch. @BuffRumblings: Sammy Watkins admittedly took a play off late in the 4thQ yesterday where he should have had a catch. Concerned? http://t.co/QtV9W5TEO9 I'm concerned, Yolo. Concerned that EJ sucks and that even this mistake of Sammy's is on EJ.
PromoTheRobot Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Slightly. If it's a sign that the WRs know EJ's throws will get them killed then it could become an issue.
ALF Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 I' am more concerned Mike Williams is not being thrown to more. He leaps for a pass, playing a lot taller.
GG Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Slightly. If it's a sign that the WRs know EJ's throws will get them killed then it could become an issue. How did Sammy hurt his ribs in the first place?
The Big Cat Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 How did Sammy hurt his ribs in the first place? A flying knee kick three to four seconds after the whistle was blown in a preseason game against a non-division, non-2014 opponent. And yes I am concerned.
Gavin in Va Beach Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 If he's talking about that pass near the end of the game where if he catches it he was going to get crushed, I'm fine with him alligator arming it. Game was over at that point and he doesn't need to take those shots to haul in a stat-padding pass.
peterpan Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 I saw that play. He obviously short armed it and didnt want to lay out for an inaccurate pass over the middle. Considering how EJ got Goodwin crushed I can't really blame him.
5 Wide Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 15-20 yards in garbage time is not important enough as a healthy Sammy. On the glass is half full side of things, Sammy having a quiet day means that he didn't take any shots also... perhaps another step forward for the ribs to heal up.
GG Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 A flying knee kick three to four seconds after the whistle was blown in a preseason game against a non-division, non-2014 opponent. Following a pretty poorly thrown ball IIRC
stevestojan Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 If you ever broken a rib, you know how painful breathing, sneezing, etc can be. To ask him to lay himself out by a QB who threw two passes yesterday that could have had his WRs killed is a bit much. I'm glad he short armed it. Could have knocked him out.
mountainwampus Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Kelvin Benjamin didn't take any plays off, down by 4 TDs. We drafted the wrong WR.
Gugny Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 (edited) He would have gotten killed had he caught that ball. That's not taking a play off. That's wisely not jeopardizing your season/career in an imminent loss. Edited September 22, 2014 by Gugny
Maury Ballstein Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Him and woods both looked lost as did the whole offense.

Concerned? http://t.co/QtV9W5TEO9 He definitely alligator armed a catchable pass. Rib Protection? Who knows, but I expect better.
Dorkington Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 It happens, players do that. Even vets. Would like it to not happen, but it's going to, they're all humans. I like that he honed up to it. The offensive line and quarterback took much of the game off as well, so whatever.
zow2 Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Not concerned in the slightest. Don't need him getting more injured on a meaningless throw-catch. Sammy is going to be a great NFL receiver. Just need a QB or a gameplan to get him the ball, He's open alot.
NoSaint Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 that he acknowledged that he missed the play is probably a good thing, even if his wording made it sound really bad. the kid didnt think he had the play and in hindsight realized he might have. it happens. its good he learned a lesson there hopefully.
Kirby Jackson Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 I am not going to worry about the best offensive player that the Bills have drafted in decades getting crossed up on a play. I am worried that they don't throw him the ball 6 times a half.
