TheBackupQB Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 This is not a deep post ... EJ needs to take more shots down field... the over thrown balls are not good, but it looks worse when you only take one or two shots down field...we need to build chemistry and its just not there...
Max997 Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 I'd be happy with more 15-20 yard passes The wide receivers on this team are ridiculously underutilized
Delusional Bills Optimist Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 Agreed, but that requires a QB that can put the ball at least within the catching radius of our guys. Otherwise, they'll all just be wasted downs. Frankly, I thought Fred's pass was the best (most accurate) deep throw of the day.
zonabb Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 I think they gotta take the kid gloves off ej and stop being so conservative. Seems like he's too tightly wound and afraid to make mistakes. The only way they can figure out if he's the guy is to stop coddling him with a bad run game because when they need him to win it with his arm like today, he fails. I don't like the offense and haven't seem anything like in 19 games under Hackett.
chef4131 Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 stat of the day EJ was 7 for 21 on passes to the WRs
Martifal Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 Why EJ has overthrown every deep ball he has attempted this year...
Deranged Rhino Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 Why EJ has overthrown every deep ball he has attempted this year... He's used to throwing deep to Titan, that guy has wheels.
Max997 Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 stat of the day EJ was 7 for 21 on passes to the WRs I wouldn't even hv guessed he completed or attempted that many to WRs
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 He's used to throwing deep to Titan, that guy has wheels. haha--nice.
TheBackupQB Posted September 21, 2014 Author Posted September 21, 2014 Today the Charges had do many PAss Interference calls for them...
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 I'd ljust like to see them come out passing more than running into the middle with Spiller as that's not his strength
Captain Caveman Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 In order to do so the O line needs to hold the pocket long enough for the receiver to get downfield. Our O line stunk today.
BmarvB Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 (edited) Agreed, but that requires a QB that can put the ball at least within the catching radius of our guys. Otherwise, they'll all just be wasted downs. Frankly, I thought Fred's pass was the best (most accurate) deep throw of the day. Fred did throw a pretty good ball - and more accurate than some of EJ's long balls have been. Edited September 22, 2014 by BmarvB
Dean Cain Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 EJ looked good on the final drive. When you fall behind that far it limits your offense.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Today the Charges had do many PAss Interference calls for them... One of the benefits of throwing deep. EJ had a deep miss to Goodwin today where we got an illegal contact call too.
