ExiledInIllinois Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 okay, we can disagree. That is fine. I thought the defense set the tone for the game. All is well Yep. There is hope the D can keep them competitive. As much as SD had its way, the Bills were competitive. That says a lot when the QB and O is absolutley horrendous and Rivers still ripping it up @ times...
Nitro Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 Exile....do you agree that EJ could not figure out the wind today? He sailed a few with it and short throw into it.

The Ralph is like what? 50 feet below grade... It is a very tricky stadium. Kelly is right, just stop thinking too much. Maybe they can go out hunting together or something?
Nitro Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 I think Jim should mentor EJ. It was brutal on the field. You could see the clothing on the people on the sideline to tell it was rough. The Ralph can be an ally if you know how to play it. Hunt, fish, whatever...just talk it out.
JC2002 Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 The assumption that the res of the league does not watch film of our team is wrong . The first two weeks of the season we feasted on turnovers ,stout defense, and a some timely special teams play. The things we saw today was by design because the Chargers can clearly see what EJ cannot do and the goal was to get us into a position where he will have to do it for us to win the game . The Chargers wanted to come out early and strike quick because falling behind and staying even allows us to run the ball The Chargers wanted to come out and take care of the ball to prevent giving us short fields because we have yet to prove we can go 80 yards multiple times and come away with points The defense held the Chargers to 22 points and somehow they were bad ? Thats a winnable game in the NFL with the weapons we have If the defensive gameplan is to take away the running game and force us to air it out AT home how can it be on anyone else but the QB. Teams will not stop trying to do what we saw today until EJ stops them from even wanting to . Get an early lead force us into a passing game and then make EJ make plays with his arm.

Can't lock in and miss seeing open receivers too. Yes, the O-Line helps in slowing the game down, but no excuse... Gotta see wide open receivers! And the time EJ rises to the task and shoves it down their throat is when teams are sent into a tailspin scheming around EJ's shortcomings. This has to happen EARLY not later in a franchise QB's career. The games are ticking away towards a "wrecked horse."
