dollars 2 donuts Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 (edited) I know we love him. I know other fans are envious of us having him. He is 31 and has made a few pro bowls, however, sometimes as an alternate. If we assume '14-'16 as quality years in his career, meaning he hopefully makes it to the pro bowl, what are the chances or what do you think the odds are of Kyle being an NFL Hall of Famer? EDIT: keeping in mind that as a 7 time pro-bowler and multiple year all-pro Fred Smerlas still isn't in and no longer appears ont he ballot, I believe. Edited September 19, 2014 by dollars 2 donuts
boyst Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Smerlas may make it as one of the history players or whatever they are called.
Dorkington Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 It's really going to depend on if we can make the playoffs while he's playing, I think. His peers respect him, always have, but playing for a loser probably taints things.
NoSaint Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 as a guy that penetrates, and only having 30 career sacks - probably not. hes not an elite rusher, and not an elite mountainous run stuffer... simply a good player.
MyHorseAteTheKid Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 HOF? Hell YES.... If he buys a ticket!!!
rsxfirefighter Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 I love the man and what he brings our team. However, no way is he a Hall of Famer. I can see a Wall of Famer, but not Hall. He brings serious work ethic, however he has only affected the out come of a few games and teams really do not game plan around him. He is going to be like Darrell Talley and Biscuit....teammates love them, opponents appreciated them, however they are just not the elite of the elite.
H2o Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 He's been a good player, but I don't think he has shown any kind of dominance to get a HOF induction.
auburnbillsbacker Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 (edited) Kyle Williams has been one of the best DTs in the league his entire career. If he puts together 3 more great years he would be deserving of a spot in the Hall of Fame. Unfortunately, playing in Buffalo will keep him out. Obviously other Buffalo players have made it in recently, but they all played on a team that was a perennial winner. Kyle has never played in a playoff game. If coaches voted instead of members of the media he would be a lock. I have a simple question for those who do not believe he belongs in the Hall of Fame. What DT has been consistently better than Kyle the last 5 years? Guys like Suh have had great years but have also had disappointing years. Kyle Williams always plays at a high level. DrDawkinstein Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 No, but he and Freddy may be the only players from the last decade that deserve to be on the Wall of Fame.

Dragonborn10 Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Let's remember he played on a Bills line that for the last half decade or more has been one of the worst run stopping units in history. Of ocurse it is not just him but he will not even get on the list of guys to consider. what does he do exceptionally? Get injured
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 what does he do exceptionally? I honestly believe that he's the quickest defensive lineman off the snap, and he's rarely off sides to boot. That said, he's not a hall of famer unless the Bills win a couple super bowls. I don't know if it should work that way, but it does.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Pro Football HoF....No. Bills Wall of Fame...Yes.
Rico Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 No, but he and Freddy may be the only players from the last decade that deserve to be on the Wall of Fame. Maybe... but he can wait until Fred is up there first.

It's about one of the best players at their position in the history of the game. Your smoking crack of you think he's one of the best to ever play the game.
LB3 Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Right now? No. In three years after being a member of the three time defending Super Bowl champion Buffalo Bills? Oh yeah! Go Bills!
Dragonborn10 Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Maybe... but he can wait until Fred is up there first. They should stopp adding names until Cookie is on the wall
