Jerry Jabber Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Ted Nolan stated he would like to talk with Doug Marrone and the Bills coaching staff once the Pegula are officially the Bills owners: http://www.wgr550.com/Sabres-Nolan-is-excited-that-this-is-his-team/19933682 "Nolan was asked about the Pegula’s buying the Bills and he has an interesting way of looking at it, “The one thing I mentioned to them is maybe there’s a chance we could meet their coaching staff because I think all sports are intertwined and you learn different things from a different place so I’m looking forward to getting to know the Bills coaching staff and take some ideas from them and they could take some from us."
boyst Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Who would learn more from who? I think this is a good idea. A network is never a bad thing.
Utah John Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Maybe they could each score some free tickets.
eball Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 I think Nolan is trying to get some insight as to how he can quickly lose the Sabres' locker room.
JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 The one Sabres game I went to last year they showed Marrone in the crowd
Best Player Available Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 I'm hearing that Nolan wants to try out EJ as a goalie since he sucks at QB.
Buftex Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Nolan is just being a suck-up to the owners!
Punch Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Marrone would endear himself to many Buffalonians if he took Nolan up on the offer.
Canadian Bills Fan Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 I like the idea. My old high school gym teacher is Nolans brother in law and he came and spoke to my class once. Nicest guy around and I couldnt be happier that he is the coach of the Sabres CBF

There has always been a co-support between Sabres players and Bills players. I know Thurman was a big Sabres fan back in the day. Lots of cross training and cross support can happen now that they're all in the same family. The potential is pretty cool. Not to mention some type of Season Ticket Holder Max package. Where Bills Season ticket holder can get a mini-pack to Sabres for free and build from there and Vice Versa. Cool stuff . . .
C.Biscuit97 Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Luckily for EJ, he isn't married because this could be trouble.
nucci Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 (edited) Marrone would endear himself to many Buffalonians if he took Nolan up on the offer. Why? Marrone would endear himself to many Buffalonians by getting the Bills to the playoffs. That's all needs to do right now. Edited September 18, 2014 by nucci
Captain Hindsight Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Marrone used to meet with Boeheim at SU but always told him he didn't understand basketball I expect a similar response from Marrone. But the conversations will still be valuable
C.Biscuit97 Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Marrone would endear himself to many Buffalonians if he took Nolan up on the offer. This stuff doesn't material. Belichick has the personality of toilet paper and is beloved in NE. It's not about silly PR or press conferences. It's about Ws.
klos63 Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Why? Marrone would endear himself to many Buffalonians by getting the Bills to the playoffs. That's all needs to do right now. Unlike Nolan , who's team doesn't have to win and Buffalonians would still kiss his butt.

That's great and I don't disagree, but neither of these statements negate that he will endear himself to many Buffalonians by doing this---

They need to synch up their schedule rotation on washing Kim's Bentley and Terry's arse.
