r00tabaga Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Per John Murphy Former #Bills WR @leeevans83 is Sunday's "Leader of the Charge" I always liked Lee and hope he gets a warm welcome.
Solomon Grundy Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Big Lee Evans fan! Wished him and TKO could've had playoff berth in Buffalo
devldog131 Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Wonder if he'll be tailgating with his pops. His dad still tailgates at all the Bills games, right?

Hammered a Lot Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Wonder if he'll be tailgating with his pops. His dad still tailgates at all the Bills games, right? Nope not since his son got traded.
eball Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 @JohnMurphyShow: Lee Evans Ready to "Lead the Charge" – JMS http://t.co/nHCa5AITkc Wow. Truthfully didn't expect that. Always was an Evans fan; really nice to see that the team reached out to him and he was receptive to it.
Special K Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 @JohnMurphyShow: Lee Evans Ready to “Lead the Charge” – JMS http://t.co/nHCa5AITkc Are you kidding me??? Was JP Losman or Rob Johnson not available?? What an uninspiring choice. Lee Evans was the exact type of player the Whaley/Marrone regime has purged from the current roster. No leadership skills, no intensity, no winning attitude. What a drop off from Andre Reed last week.

What a drop off from Andre Reed last week. Ya know, I gotta agree. It's too soon to bring back any of the guys from the past decade of suckitude. I like Lee and all, but I want winners leading the charge right now.
1B4IDie Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 If he is in the stadium the Chargers will be double covering him. Sammy should get singled. Genius move by OBD.

Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 If he is in the stadium the Chargers will be double covering him. Sammy should get singled. Genius move by OBD. Haha; was going to post the same thing. Ultimate decoy plan. Well done, Marrone. Well done.

mrags Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Nope not since his son got traded. well hammer, I can assure you he will be tailgating in your lot this week. A friend of mine at work speaks with Lee personally and they are planning to be at your lot. FYI.

KollegeStudnet Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Doesn't Lee still live in Blo? I remember reading a story a few years ago saying he stayed in the area.
prissythecat Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Should the Ravens also invite him to lead the charge at some point ? I seem to recall an awesome thread where it was stated that Lee Evans single handedly altered the dynamic of the Ravens and Steelers rivalry because he was an awesome decoy.
BuffaloBill Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 well hammer, I can assure you he will be tailgating in your lot this week. A friend of mine at work speaks with Lee personally and they are planning to be at your lot. FYI. We voted you out of Hammers...
DrDawkinstein Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 My choices for Charge Leaders: Andre Reed Thurman Thomas Bruce Smith Darryl Talley Cornelius Bennett Steve Tasker James Lofton Eric Moulds And then for our home playoff game: Jim f-ing Kelly!
Freddie's Dead Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Are you kidding me??? Was JP Losman or Rob Johnson not available?? What an uninspiring choice. Lee Evans was the exact type of player the Whaley/Marrone regime has purged from the current roster. No leadership skills, no intensity, no winning attitude. What a drop off from Andre Reed last week. It's disappointing that many in this thread denigrate Lee Evans. He was a great receiver stuck on a bad team with bad quarterbacking. Unfortunately, his final two seasons in Buffalo and Baltimore were below par, but he still put up some very impressive numbers. Career stats for Lee Evans, Jerry Rice, and Andre Reed, catches, yds, avg, TD's, TD% Evans 381 6008 15.8 83 11% Rice 1549 22895 14.8 197 13% Reed 951 13198 13.9 87 9% As you can see, Lee had a higher YPC in 9 seasons than 2 HOF'ers, with a comparable TD%. Not his fault we had JP, Trentative, and Kelly Holcomb throwing the rock (was Shane Matthews in there?). Lee Evans deserves better from us as Bills fans.
