RJ (not THAT RJ) Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Boy, the NFL is sure having a PR problem. It would probably be a good idea for the league to have a feel-good story to distract attention. Like maybe a downtrodden, small-market team that goes on a Cinderella championship run in honor of its recently deceased owner or something. All it will take is a couple of "judgment calls" to go the right way... a nip (or an unconscious player touching a ball with his foot, allowing his team to retain possession) here, a Tuck Rule there. Wouldn't that be nice?
FireChan Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Yeah , but why would we care about the Titans or Detroit?
CountryCletus Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Yeah , but why would we care about the Titans or Detroit? I think I have a suggestion....

The Real Buffalo Joe Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 (edited) Maybe the most beloved player in this teams history just got a clean bill of health? Edited September 17, 2014 by The Real Buffalo Joe
Tyrod's Tailor Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 maybe this team has one of the most exciting players in the NFL at wide receiver as a result of a bold move on draft day?

Deranged Rhino Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 There's a flip side to this... The league is undone by it's own poor PR and folds just as the Bills are on the doorstep of a new dynasty.
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Maybe our coach just recovered from a very serious run in with BLANK cancer?
mitchmurraydowntown Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 The press is looking for a feel bad story, the NFL for a feel good story.
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 The press is looking for a feel bad story, the NFL for a feel good story. Exactly. So wouldn't the NFL do what they can to push as many feel good stories as possible?
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 What would our esteemed commissioner and respect poster Roger Goodell say to this?

Buftex Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Or, the Pegulas step back and wonder what they are getting themselves into with the suddenly toxic NFL!!!
HamSandwhich Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Or, the Pegulas step back and wonder what they are getting themselves into with the suddenly toxic NFL!!! Not funny!
