The Dean
This was a quick count, so I might be a game or two off... Since 1960... Bills 2-0 starts - 15 Playoffs made - 9 Flip side... Bills 0-2 starts - 19 Playoffs made - 1 So, what does all this mean? absolutely nothing other than i might have too much time on my hands... GO BILLS!!! Probably that it is better to start 2-0 than to start 0-2. But I'm just guessing here.

ricojes
I wish I could say i was shocked with the amount of 0-2 starts, but I would have guessed close to that...
Just Jack
Does TBD have a tailgate for the playoffs???? Well, we haven't had that come up in quite a few years to even decide.
Captain Caveman
Does TBD have a tailgate for the playoffs???? Is this an "if a tree falls in the woods and no one's there to hear it" thing?

NoSaint
with nearly 40% of teams making the playoffs, im always a little surprised that the skew on these stats isnt stronger whenever they come up

CountryCletus
That was a great read... Typically I can't stand Schein, probably he is right a lot and down on the Bills while I am still drinking the Koolaid
YoloinOhio
Wow, I should not be surprised, but our local "experts" were doing the "real deal or nah" on teams that were 1-1 or 2-0 and all 3 were an emphatic "no" on the Bills. Because they don't believe in EJ.

Hapless Bills Fan
46.8% of teams that have started 2-0 more than once and didn't make the playoffs have a 78.2% chance of making the playoffs as long as they win 60.3% of the time. However there's only a 14% chance of that happening 100% of the time. I think I like you
The Dean
Where IS The Senator anyway? I'm in contact with him, telephonically and via email. He is doing pretty well, after going through some serious medical issues. He and a few other friends are expected down here for a visit, sometime in the fall. I'm shocked he hasn't posted lately. jimmy10
Don't forget 2011. I think at some point in '11, when we were 5-2 or whatever, the same stats said our postseason likelihood was something like 75-80%. So yeah, I'm just gonna take it day by day. eSJayDee
And since 1990 we've made the playoffs, what, like 7 or 8 times? That's 28 or 32%. I'm excited, but not too confident just yet.
DerekJ
Saw some commentary a bit ago (could have been Bleacher Report but I'm too lazy to go back and check) wherein the commentators referred to the Bills as 'pretenders' largely due to EJ's "inability" to throw downfield. While history tells me not to hope, something just feels different this year.
