Jerry Jabber Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 I heard this last night on WGR that our two Clemson guys, Spiller and Watkins had a combined 317 all-purpose yards (between running, passing and kickoff yards). Those stats are very impressive. While some have questioned Marrone for putting Spiller on kickoffs, I felt it was a smart move as Spiller could be the Bills best return man since Terrance McGee was handling kickoffs. Watkins came very close to having three touchdowns’ yesterday; one was swiped away by the Dolphins defender and the other was a bad throw by Manuel. It’s nice to know that the Bills finally have more than one explosive playmaker on their team. Hopefully this is just the start to many more explosive plays from the Bills.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Bills Clemson connection put the Dolphins game away C.J. Spiller’s 102-yard kick return for a touchdown and Sammy Watkins’ 12-yard catch, run and dive for the pylon for a touchdown put the game out of reach in lifting the Bills to their first 2-0 start since 2011.
