SouthernMan Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 What was the deal with offside calls on Hughs? Both were beautifully timed, and watching replays, it was clear he did not cross the line before the ball was snapped. It sucks that he was penalized for stellar play and great instincts.

He was clearly in the neutral zone on both occasions. Both were correctly called by the zebras.
Big C Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 From the TV angle, one of them looked perfect, one looked early. If you are going to call those, you better call those false starts. It was unfortunate, but ultimately didn't make or break us.

But when you time those as well as he did, I think the early movement by a single player looked weird and made the officials think he was offsides. The refs were pretty bad today overall.
Best Player Available Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 One was blatant, the other seemed like the right call too.

BuffaloBillsForever Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 (edited) One looked like he timed it perfectly although I didn't have the option to put in slow motion. Edited September 14, 2014 by BuffaloBillsForever
